I was looking through madvapes' website and saw an 2XAA Auto Box mod. Hoog, I was wondering if you could shed some light on what kind of switch you guys are using and if it will ever be available for purchase? I've been looking for one and they aren't available anywhere. As far I know this is the only auto mod around. Another MV original!

Nice catch! Just looked it up and it is an Auto switch! I got to get me one of those. I hope they do start selling it.

Placed an order for one today. Looking forward to seeing how well it works. I've always found auto batteries to be the most satisfying vapes... they're just not as reliable as they're currently designed. But man, I do love em.

Keep up updated on how you like it after you get it! :) I'm excited for you to try it! LOL

It's a secret!
Okay, got my auto box mod last Friday iirc. Been using it every day for a week.

The pros: The switch is very durable. I had a leaky EDM carto ( the leak was between the outer wall and the underside of the unit) and sat the box mod with the carto pointing up. When I realized what was happening, juice was pouring down the side of the box. I took off the carto and literally dripped juice out of the switch. It wouldn't work at all. So I wiped the switch down and tried to extract as much juice as I could from the switch. Let it set overnight. Got up the next morning, popped in a fresh battery and it works good as new! The draw, which was normally a medium draw, was STILL a medium draw. So the switch is at least so far, more durable than most other auto switches I've used.

So how does the switch work? It's VERY similar to smoking a pipe. You need to take a few primer puffs first when your atty is cold. Less primer puffs when it's warm. I smoked analog pipes, so this is a very familiar, satisfying vaping experience for me. It might take some getting used to if you're a cigarette smoker though.

The device is very light. I found myself walking around with it in my teeth again, like a pipe.

My only con is the battery. The 14500's I got seem to only last me about an hour of chain vaping even though they're rated at 900 mah. Don't know if I did something when I charged them or if I just got a bad batch, but they should last me nearly all day, however they are not.

All in all, despite the battery issues I've had, I really like this little mod (it is very small btw) and recommend it to anyone who is a fan of auto batteries.
