Rob over at AltSmoke is now stocking a variety of mod parts including the batt connector for the 510.

AltSmoke | Personal Vaporizer Mod Shop

Thanks a bunch. I have placed my order for several 510 connectors. This is a great find for me. Maybe these guys can make money selling us the parts to make mods. This market may end up as strictly DIY depending on how the FDA proceeds.

I hope they have a BIG pile of 510 connectors, cause they are going to need them.

And I mean BIG.

Apo, why not e-mail them, they might start shipping overseas, I don't see a reason why not to do it. Does it cost more besides the actual shipping charges to them, or is it more risky?
I'm just not sure why not everyone does it. Don't we live in a "global" world today? (chuckles)

I have quite a bit at the moment ;)

Regardless, we're in the process of creating an informational website for Modders. Pretty much chucked with How-To Guides as well as information on creating mods. I've contacted several modders who have created How-To Guides and working with them :p If you're interested in assisting, feel free to inquire Via PM.

The Mod Shop Section will have 'common' items that Modders use to...well Mod. :p Any suggestions would be helpful as well :)

For my 510 based Nicostik mod I sourced my connectors from the R401 USB cable charger.
The piece that I extract from the charger is much more substantial than the ferrule that you remove from a battery (or is available through the Altsmoke Mod store).
This part is giving me the increased area to allow for a tailiored fit and more secure anchoring into my mod body.
The chargers are even pretty reasonably priced if sourced from overseas like RuyenDirect (Heaven Gifts).
No more fumbling with less than optimum mounting of the connector. Simply a superior build quality when finished.

Halo, looks like you will be able to gather quite a following. I do see a need for mod parts and how-to's. I hope it pays off for you.

Going to be ordering some more 510 threads today, was wondering if anyone would like some to be Nickel Plated? :p

I can't speak for others, but I might like some in chrome. On the 510 most of the connector will be hidden once screwed together. So it might not be an issue. One thing on everyone's wish list might be crossover connectors to a universal connector like RCA? Also battery holders of various types. I pretty sure you could market a assembled universal "battery box" with out the reference to a "bad" name like "e-cig".

Battery connectors would be a big hit, but I am not talking about 2 x AA boxes that can be found everywhere.

There is no one anywhere making battery holders for 18650 batteries, (I know because I dedicated 2 full days to search for them), I only found 1 guy in UK hand manufacturing 18650 holders for bicycle head lights and they are around $20 for a 2 battery holder. 8-o

Also one thing that we all always forget until we are working on it is that all battery boxes/holders were designed for regular AA or AAA batteries and when you try to fit in an equivalent sized (protected) 14500, it gets pretty rough because they are slightly longer and we need to cut spring size, file a little here and there.

Springs, battery connectors, metal strips, wire, washer size selection to fit the most common flashlights, nylon rods for the same purpose, decent SWITCHES with caps... I can go on for half an hour ,LOL.

Just throwing in some ideas for you to add if possible.

Trust me, if you can pull this one off, you will be making more money off this than any e-cigs you sell.
