I ordered a lovely new Jessy S, which is so amazingly PURPLE and I can't wait to try it out, but OOPS completely neglected to order any cartridges to go with it. I think I have some old empty 510 cartridges with fluff in them, can I use those, or should I wait until I get the Jessy cartridges?

Did you order a kit? If so, it comes with cartridges. If you ordered a single beautiful purple battery, I'm not sure. I'm sure David or Kristen will see your post. 
I just checked the site and I am not sure the Kits have carts with them... did not see them listed, also not sure if a standard 510 cart will work... I think so, but we will find out!
I have the kit, which I had the impression came with cartridges, but I went back and looked at the description and I guess it doesn't. Unless they're stashed inside the box somewhere I haven't seen yet?
And I've ordered a small purple Jessy too! I also ordered carts. Phew! David or Kristen will know the answer to your question. VGF or SC, could you email? I would but I don't have access to my email at the moment.

Ah well. Got a cartridge order in process. I will have to sing the "anticipation" song!
Have you already received you Kit? and do your carts that you spoke of fit properly?... Sorry for the questions but I do not have a Jessy, and so am not familiar with the details of it.. 
Received the kit today and thought I'd go ahead and ask the experts before hunting down the old 510 cartridges and trying them on it. I know the Jessy cartridges are supposed to have some kind of special design to them, looking forward to seeing what that's all about!

Jessy atties are...very similar to 510s, but not quite. Bridge height seems to be a little lower (just looking, haven't measured anything.)
Would a regular 510 cart work- not sure- I guess you'd have to try and see. DOn't think you could damage anything by trying.
Tank carts, the kind with fiber/polyfil only in the "cap" are pretty much what the Jessy carts are. If you have any of those on hand, they tend to work better with Jessy atties than they ever did with 510s.
If you haven't got any carts to match, a drip tip works a treat.

Cool! I've never tried tanks. Does that mean they hold more juice, not being full of filler?
The Jessy S will come with 2 cartridges, and the M and X come with a pack of 5 cartridges,
The Joye 510 cartridges will work, howeber we do not recomend using them. With the Jessy having self cleaning technology, their cartridges are built to withstand the self cleaning process, where the 510 carts are not, so it may mess up both the cart and the atomizer.

Yeah- the carts the Jessy comes with hold quite a bit more juice.
NOTE: When flying or experiencing any major change in environmental pressure, the Jessy cartridges will leak. That's the only time I've had leakage with them.

This is kind of like getting a brilliant new toy for Christmas but you don't have batteries for it and none of the stores are open. I'll see if I can figure out the photo posting thing, it's such an amazing shade of purple.
You sure there's no carts with them? Kristen said there should be two. Did you check the package it was mailed in?
When flying (after the first time, which was in a small semi-unpressurized aircraft- so it may not always be a problem), I just take the cart off, replace with a driptip for use in the airport or wherever.
FULL carts won't (shouldn't) leak in flight, as there shouldn't be enough air in them to expand and push the juice out. But I can't imagine a scenario where a half-full cart wouldn't leak in flight.

the colors of the Jessy are extremely awesome. Haven't seen any colors like this before, and they are anondized so the color is not going to wer off
