A friend of mine recently loaned me his REO for a few days and I have to say, I'm in love. SO, me being the bargain hunter that I am, want to build my own bottom feeder using a simple battery box. I've seen several people who have made them, but I want parts similar to the REO.

First, where would I find a 510 connector with an extended + post that I could slip a tube over?

Second, does anyone have suggestions on what to use for a drip well?

Thanks in advance

Modding the finishing washer with a punch is a great idea and it turned out really well. I like to mod a 1/2" Sweat Valve for mine

On the REO, you have a tube that goes all the way inside your bottle and the slips over that little tube connected to the bottom of the 510 connector. You give the bottle a squeeze and suck a little on the atty and juice squirts up to get the coil wet. Any excess usually runs back down into the bottle, but if it doesn't, it sits in the drip well until you suck it back into the atty.

I've seen several home made bottom feeders that use a luer lock needle and bottle, and the result is usually a LOT of hot glue or epoxy to seal everything around that needle. With a REO style connector, the tube is sealed, so you don't have to compensate by gluing everything

Reo setup is one 6ml bottle with this http://www.theoringstore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=23_22&products_id=1109o-ring in the cap, http://www.theoringstore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=23_22&products_id=1069for a 3ml bottle. The bottles can be found at http://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/c-110-accessories.aspxThe tubing is available at us plastics. It is the 1/16 id 3/16 OD 1/16 wall. http://www.usplastic.com/mobile/item.aspx?itemid=23278&catid=799 to make the hole in the bottle cap use a 11/64 bit.

Gabe when I make my bottom feeder center posts I use a cheap RCA jack prong. They are filled with plastic. I drill it out, drill through the tip with a 1/16 bit and then put some lead free solder in the open end. Then I use one of the posts you have used, and drill out where I soldered to barely fit the center post. Then I heat up the metal to make the bond. The end may need some shaping to accept the tubing but I find this gives me plenty of room to solder pos wire. Good luck
