I have been having a terrible time with 510 connectors.
I have managed to have failures on the Kbox and my brand new hana modz V4s. The insulators have failed in both.
No rather than do some temporary repair I would like to improve the 2 mods by replacing the 510 connectors with connectors of higher quality.

Is there a tutorial or someone that can walk me through this process?

Thanks

So I purchased some Fatdaddyvapes v3 short 510 connectors.
After some reconstructive investigation I found that the kbox 510 connector is pressed in and it popped right out with a drift and a tack hammer. It should be easy to drill and tap.

The Hana Modz v4 connector is threaded but it has m10x1.25 the Fatdaddy 510 threads are m10x1.00. I am not sure how to tackle this one yet. I don't know if I can drill it and re-thread it or if I have to use an insert like a helicoil or sert.

It's not the treads I am having problems with, it is the insulators and cheap 510 connectors the put in these mods.
Are you talking mods or atomizers?
If mods then high temperature may be causing insulator issues and the cooling fin thingy will help with that and on the atty as well.
What wattage are you running?

I fixed one of my kboxes. It is running like a champ and the Fatdaddyvapes v3 short fits perfectly. I know the kbox is not the greatest mod out there but I like its simplicity. Now with the new connector it seems it will have added reliability.
