Just wondering if anyone has tried these, 510/EGO Kanger Clearomizers (5/box) ? I picked up a pack, and found that there was something odd about the flavor it produced. I usually drip the JC wicked watermelon, and was searching for an alternative that would produce that nice clean taste. I tried searching the internet about these, but could not find any information at all. The only thing that i could find that was similar are the KR808D-1 ClearoCartos from Nhaler, but those have an 808 connection, and there's nothing i could find with a 510 connection. Anyways, does anyone have any input on these and why the flavor they produce taste odd?

btw, i checked the ohms with my Provari, and they are 3.1ohms. I tried vaping these from 4.0volts to 5.0 volts, and no matter what that odd flavor was there. Also its not a burnt taste either.

The are the Vortex/G4/g5/g6 or what ever the hell else they want to call them. They are good and bad at the same time.

Good: when they work they are amazing.

Bad: they leak, Burnt/weird taste, cracking tubes.

IMHO they need further improvement. The only thing I like about them is the mouthpiece. Lol

Yup. Been using the G4/Vortex/Whatever on my 808s just to use 'em up. They work alright, but the tubes do crack around the connector base (already threw one out after just a few days), they get gurgly in a hurry from condensation in the air tube, and they leak like sieves if you take the mouthpiece off while there's still juice in there. Which is really not a good thing if you're using them on an unsealed auto battery.

Get the CE2 clearos (or upcoming Visions) from CanVape. Far, far better, and you can mod them to make them insanely awesome.

I planned on purchasing them, but got these instead. I don't even know if its safe to vape from these. I don't know if the odd flavor is from something that's not supposed to be heating up, cause i'm getting the dizzy spells. I'm tempted to try out the other 4 I have, in hopes that the first ones a dud. It doesn't taste burnt, but it doesn't taste good either. Any links on how to mod the CE2's

So glad you asked. :D

Modding a Fluxomizer Deluxe (the CE2s on CanVape are the same thing)

The Ultimate Vision Mod (CanVape has the Vision v3s coming in; this tutorial is for the v2 but it should work exactly the same on a v3. Once I get one of the v3s in my hands I'll be doing an updated tutorial with the same mod for the v3.)

It's possible that the weird taste is from the glue that they use to connect the base. It sometimes gets on the coil

Yeah, there's something funky going on down there. I've got one filled with some Jugheads Awesome Waffles and there's brown sediment collecting on top of the glue. The juice is pale yellow so I'm thinking it's scorched juice leaking out from the coil.

Thanks Mindfield, I'll be subscribing to your youtube channel. I finally got tired of the damn thing, that I decided to open one up. Boy, oh boy was there a lot of glue at the base. There was also some glue on the inside of the cup that contains the wick, however I didn't see any glue on the wick or coil itself. The wick was nice and clear, the coils didn't have any gunk on them. I'm guessing its the glue heating up inside the cup that causes the odd flavor. For now these vortex/G4/G5/G6 will be in the cupboard, to be revisited at a later time.

Yeah, I've pretty much just been using the G4s for the purpose of review so I can get all the ins and outs. Once I've done the full Kanger kit review I'll probably put the remaining few I have away and use 'em for emergencies. I mean, they work, they've just got some rather significant flaws.

does anyone know a remedy to prevent the condensation from happening on a CE2, or at least prevent the condensation from entering your mouth?

A drip tip will lessen the juice in your mouth. As far as eliminating condensation..... Clean it when you see it. Lol

Ya I got the rubber stock rubber drip tip. None of my 510 drip tips seem to fit. It is also one of the older CE2's that crack though. I plan on ordering the newer versions from canvape, this friday. But yes, I will clean it when I see it, lol

Yeah the older ones will accept a standard 510 drip tip. You will have to force it in, but then it WILL crack.

The new ones will be a tight fit as well, but with them you can easily force it and not have to worry about it cracking
