Is it safe to use the 650 mah usb passthrough battery with a LR510 or eGo-T Type A Low Resistance Atty? I don't want to short out my new attys. please respond asap
-patrick
Yes. The ego-t lr is fine. For 510 attys, the general recommendation is to stay at 2.0 ohms or above on eGo batts, but I can't even count the number of posts I've read where people are not just successfully but also quite happily using 1.5's and 1.7's.
The eGo passthrough provides 3.2v. When using an eGo battery passthrough, you are actually using the power through the battery and the same circuitry the battery has. It's more like charging the battery at the same time as using it than what one would normally think of as a "passthrough" It doesn't bypass the battery.
I would really consider a Type B LR atty, as they have gotten the design better.. The type A works well but floods more and holds less ... LR or regular
