I am about to put in an order for this item to start carrying them. I have never used it and had some questions for those of you who have.
My JOYE rep has good english but sometimes when asking more technical stuff things get lost in translation

So my understanding is it holds just liquid and the filler is gone. It is a new atomizer and cartridge system.

1. how do you like it?

2. hows atomizer life?

3. If the cartridge just fills with liquid then is there really a need to ever replace the cartridge anymore?

In my opinion this design idea is much better and if this works well I really don't see a need to keep carrying the old style. Is there some type of cons I am missing?

sorry myshkin, I don't have the tank system -- just got my regular ego-type kit and am greatly impressed with it compared to a regular 510. I chose not to get the tank system after reading different posts about it here on ECF...seems like a lot of folks don't care for it in its current incarnation --sounded leaky and messy to me.
Just my opinion -- I'm sure more experienced tank users will chime in to give you feedback....

After being a forum member for only two years, I finally have enough posts to reply here ;-p

I've had my eGo-T for about a month now, here are my thoughts;

I like it overall. It's convenient, carries well, and is reliable. I've got the 1000mah batteries with the 5-click shutoff. I vape ~3ml/day, and they'll go almost two days on a charge. I have only used the LR attys, can't comment on standard resistance. Vapor production is fine, taste is good...I do wish it wicked just a bit faster. First 2-3 drags are very nice, next few get a little weak. A couple of 'primer puffs' without pushing the button helps get a good drag if I'm chaining it too fast.

I've had one atty die so far (I used it exclusively for a week and a half). No warning or reason, and it's stone dead even after a soak and dry. I bought a replacement to bring me back to two on-hand, and have been alternating them since. They are (I believe) basically a standard atty pressed into the eGo cone, with a piercing-plate/wick deal covering with bridge (pierces a hole in the tank). I've read that people have removed and re-wicked them for better flow, but I haven't been able to pull the plate out of my dead one....I haven't made a concerted effort yet, but it's very tight.

I got 5 cartridges (tank in a tip) with the kit, they're black tips with clear tank. I bought 5 more that are all clear, and far prefer them. You can see how much juice you have by tilting it up and looking at the tip, very handy. I dropped the whole thing once, and broke a tip...it works fine but feels funny on the lips. Other than breaking one, I don't see why you'd need to replace them. I suppose if the hole in the end of the tank gets wallowed out it could flood the atty, but I haven't seen any signs of it happening so far.

I vape mostly RY4 from you (Dekang isn't it?), but have fed it thicker juices as well. I didn't notice any difference in how it wicked with different juices.

I still get a better vape from 2ohm clear cartomizers....vapor is a little hotter and more flavorful. They're just too high-maintenance. With the tanks, I can pop the bottom of the tank off and drip from a bottle to fill, with the cartos I have to use a syringe. The clear cartos all crack and leak at some point, probably faster for me than some since I carry it in my pocket. If I could get the tank system to hit just like the cartos, I'd have my perfect tool. So far, the eGo-T wins with convenience.

thank you for the feedback you don't have issues with leaking?

Out of 3 attomizers and 10 tanks (mostly the 5 clear-tip tanks, I haven't been using the black-tip tanks), no leaking at all yet. Sometimes there is a bit of condensation between the tank and the cone when I pull a tank out, but I've never had anything on the outside. I also haven't had an atty flood, nor have I gotten a mouth full of juice.

I finally got around to pulling my dead atty apart (completely, I used a reloading press to push the atty out of the cone). It's pretty solidly made. I pinched the piercing tip a bit when I pulled it out...I had planned to adjust or re-wick it and put it in a new atty, but now I'm not sure I can get them out without deforming them slightly. If I could get it to wick a bit faster, I think it would give me better flavor when chain-vaping. Of course, if it wicked faster it might start to flood or leak too.

It's still my daily carry device, but when I want a full slam flavor hit at home, I pop on a 2-ohm clearomizer. I really think it's the coil very near the mouthpiece, and corresponding short path vapor takes from coil to mouth that makes it a warmer, more flavorful vape.

We've had our eGo-Ts for a little over a month, and overall their great. An occasion leak has happened, which I've attributed to the tank cartridges ovaling at the puncture site. I just ordered us some more tanks, cheap enough and I like the convenience of having multiples in different flavors for the day.

I feel that the flavor (since there is no filler material) is improved, but many could argue that point. We haven't had any of the issues that others seem to have had, such as wicking. Don't know if we we were lucky, or got version 2 of the attys, or what.

The most difficult issue with the eGo-T attys is cleaning. I've watch some videos on general cleaning (soaking in boiling water) to some uber-intense cleaning (taking the entire unit apart) and am looking for a happy medium (I'll report back after I try my next method).

Some other suppliers are investigating similar tank set-ups, and in truth they maybe better. It seems to me that the eGo-T has a great concept, and now it's being improved upon. There are units being developed with bigger tanks, larger wicking areas, better tank seals, etc.

It's unfortunate, but the eGo-T received quite a bit of a negative reviews. As with all things PV the earliest models seemed to have had design issues that needed to be addressed.

So with that all said, yes the eGo-T is a nice unit, but it looks like the supply industry is on the cusp of newer and better... Then again, when isn't it?

I like them a lot since they revised them from the original release. The "needle" is larger now then the first run and I get good wicking. The first two I had from the first run were terrible for wicking until I modified it, and one of them just quit on me after a few weeks of use. Since then I tried some newer ones and noticed the difference in the piercing needle. Now flavor is pretty good and vapor production is awesome in comparison to the first ones I got. I haven't tried the type B or the LR tanks, yet, so can't comment on them. I have had two atomizers in rotation for about a month now and they both are doing great with PG running through them. As far as the carts, I like the semi transparent ones because I can rotate it upside down and see how much liquid is left. As far as wearing out, the little caps will eventually wear, and hence need replacement. So either new carts or just caps. A lot of vendors are offering the caps now. The tank kit is great IMO for taking to work or on travel and not having to top off, drip, or worry about people looking at me cause I am using a mod of some sort.

I got the tank atty and tanks because I liked the idea of seeing how much juice I had and the ease of filling.

My first experience was great! Although flavor is somewhat muted and a cooler vape, I really didn't mind that at all. I vape menthol almost exclusively so I liked that aspect of it. So, loved it and used it for three weeks until my atty died. I did take care of my atty. I cleaned it, didn't use high VG and use clear juices. So no clue why it died.

The second one never really worked. I tried everything- all the tips and tricks listed on the forum. It always tasted like I was vaping hot plastic. I'd get two good vapes, then plastic. I even tried removing the plate and fixing the wick. So I just gave up.

In short, when it worked it was great, when it didn't it was a PITA.

I'd imagine this thing is a nightmare for vendors.

Save you money, they are to expensive for what they are. You can buy 2 -(5 packs of cartomizers (thats 10 cartomizers) for the price of one eGo-t atty). The eGo -T is great when it works but they do not last all that long I have 4 of then now that are shot and that is $60 down the drain. (OUCH) If they come down in price to $5 I might try them again but not until.

I've been using the ego-t atties for quite awhile now and have found that the LR ones last long for me and I have yet to have one go bad...going on 6+ weeks. I also use 100% VG, but it's thinner. like PG. No issues with it wicking or anything. Maybe I've just been lucky?? But I love them!
I have not tried the LR. What battery are you using them on. I go thru 3 or 4 tanks of juice a day, how many do you us?? I just use the standard T atty and had no leaking problems but after a while the just did not produce the good vaper anymore and cleaning them did not help much and after a while the coils just quit working. Like I said they are very expensive compared to anything else, so I can,t allow myself to buy them at the present price. If the price comes down I may try the LR.

plus lot or really cool vapor, very easy to fill minus leak leak leak, and vapor in mouth. I gave up before atomizer died cant deal with constant leak and vapor in mouth
