I just got some flat tip carts. I have been using round with the PTB for 3 weeks.

I don't know why but the flavor of my favorite RY4 (Nhaler) is way, way, way better. Why? I don't know?

but....... I always align the rectangle in the cart to the rectangle in the atty, some don't think so, but I think this is important. (never had cart melting/ taste issue)..........................so now with the flat tip the only problem is the button ends up in odd spots with the flat tip beteween my teeth.

I'm in the same boat.

I've been using the PTB on my 510 in the ROUND carts. Just got my flat tips (901 "D" type) and flavor is better.

My concern to add on to what Robert was saying is I'm not getting the same amount of vapor as before. Could this be the way the atty is aligned with the cart?

Any ideas?

I think the flavor is better because the seal is better -less huffing, less time on the button, less heat. But some flavors, not all, do well in a hotter vapor for me - Janty's Cappuccino, RY4, butterscotch. The tobacco based flavors taste better in a cooler vapor....imho.

Also found out with the Janty Stick - huge cart - Virginia flavor - nice flue cured tobacco taste with a cherry? note. Rather smooth starting out and if you're topping off all is well. But without topping off, letting the Virginia wick back up, after a while the tobacco taste overwhelms most any other flavors - you either have to top off or clean the filler. Likely true of any tobacco based flavor - Hilton, Kent, Flue Cured, Chinese RY4, Marlboro, Camel, etc.

On cart alignment - I have the straw mod - straw always goes on the 'round' edge and I put the straw on the top aligned with the button so the air flow is better. gravity, etc.

Why not use the 2 piece flat tips? Then you can rotate the piece with the stuffing in it to align with the bridge in the atty and the outer piece aligned any way you want.
same here...never seen or heard of 2 piece flat tips other than the 801 carts..please post a link on where to see them and buy them.

Thanks

I'm intrigued. I just started vaping and picked up a KR808D-1 and a 510 and I get better flavor out of the 808. Actually, it seems like I get NO flavor out of my 510. I'll try anything. I have a ton of flavorless liquid. Is there anywhere that I can find a variety of flavorings made for vaping? I know about the Lorann Flavorings and Juicy Liquid but JL's is all fruite flavors. Any good cap, or chocolate, etc???
