Just recieved my 510 LR atty's and am using them with the 900mAh eGo batts. I am reaslly enjoying the combinaion at the moment definatly delivering the required TH. Reading through this section i see there is a thread where the LR atty's have killed the eGo batts. This has now got me worried, is this a common occurance or just bad luck on somebodies part??

Thanks for the replies. There seems to be lots of mixed experiences with this setup, is there not maybe a common factor for success or failure. Maybe a batt manufacturer or maybe atty's with a resistance that is too low?
Consistency seems to be the biggest challenge in this industry. I got my 2 standard atty's that i received with the starter kit, one runs at 2.2 ohms(favourite atty) the other at 2.8ohms, that is a fairly big difference in vapour production, taste and TH. My LR's both run at 1.8 ohm.

Several people have had this happen, the LR atty's need higher voltage then what the eGo has and can blow out the switch on the eGo batteries.

I'm sorry, but that is not correct.

Any atty or cartomizer can damage an eGo/Tornado/Riva if/when the atomizer or cartomizer malfunctions. If the resistance of the atomizer/cartomizer stays above about 1.1 Ohm, everything should be fine. Should the resistance fall below that due to partial shorting, the MOSFET switch can and will fail.
