510 pcc not giving a charge

Hey guys need some help/advice. My 510 pcc that I have been using somehow just quit working. It charges, but it won't charge a battery. I have played with the metal thingy on the inside and moved it around a bit, but the red light won't come on to say anything is charging when I put a batt in there. It has been plugged into my computer via USB and the green light is on after charging it for awhile. So it is fully ready to take a battery. I have cleaned out the inside of the battery hole, still not working. I bought this thing in January. What should I do?

Maybe try and contact whoever sold it told you and see if they have had anyone else with this problem or might have an idea of whats wrong as it could be something simple.

No sooner had I posted this, the red light came on saying it's charging! Must have been a glitch, or maybe since I cleaned the inside, it finally decided to start to work!

Yeah the recievers on them really like to get all gunked up and are usualy in a hard spot to clean. The few problems I've had with em have been cause of juice leaking, it's just the nature of the beast.

It was very diffficult trying to get down there to clean that batt hole. Anyone have a good tip to use to clean it and to clean it with what exactly? I used just a plain ol q tip that was dry. I didn't seem to get the black that I saw. Plus the dang thing broke, leaving it practically useless to clean around the edges. Would love to hear somthing better.

Idk never had it cause more of an issue than a qtip would fix...but if I really want it .... and span I'd give one of those big fat pipe-cleaners a shot (it would also be the first time I've ever used them for somewhat close to their intended purpose ).

See if you can get the medical swabs that they use to take a throat swab (just looks like a one tipped very long q-tip), and use some ISO (99% so it evaporates quickly and cleanly compared to the 70%).
