510 Smart PCC question

I just purchased the 510 Smart PCC, and didn't realize that only a 510 battery that is
NO longer than 65mm will fit in there.

Does anyone have this PCC, and where do I get extra batteries to fit it...

Sounds like you have the 510 Mega and you need the regular 510 bats. There are red led manuals that are regular length on madvapes. I would post a link but not sure how Sorry you wound up with the wrong length if you have mega bats you would have to do some searching for a pcc that fits those specifically. Which does exist out there. I came very close to doing the same thing awhile ago myself hehe

Regular sized batteries like this: 510 Manual Battery, Blue LED

Pretty much there are 2 sizes, 65mm (or so) that are 180mah and 100mm (about) that are 280mah. The large ones are called mega batteries. The do make mega sized PCC but then they can't charge the smaller regular sized battery.

What's happening with these is that the tolerences are very tight and even regular 510 batteries vary in length a bit. We have some red boge batteries that fit well but our blue bauway batteries have a rounded led cap and are about 1mm too long for the cover to close.

Shorter batteries may also have problems but that is easily solved by a small piece of paper folded up or a cabinet door bumper pad.

They are an excellent pcc though despite the battery restrictions.

I can't wait to mod one of these! I just can't justify hacking a $25 pcc apart It would make a great box mod with a fuel gauge. How cool would that be?

The PCC itself rocks, its the 510 batteries that are lame. But I may be getting ahead of myself here, after only 4 days of use, the two batteries that came with my pcc are done, one dead, one dying. Now I am wondering how long this PCC will actually hold a charge itself, what kind of cheap ... batteries are inside it? Same ones they use for the atty batteries? Hope not, cause those still suck, and the pcc will be dead within a month. I am trying to get madvapes to take my kit back, I should have known better. Stick to REAL battery mods.

hdbanger, did you log a ticket? The pcc kits and batts have been really solid but there's bound to be a couple of failures.

I opened a ticket and I replied to it and requested it be closed. The problem wasn't the battery, it was the PCC spring getting weaker over 4 days from new, the batteries would be pushed down, but not quite enough to engage charging. So I placed an 1/8 inch piece of rubber in the lid, and it closes and engages tightly, both batteries seem to be fine now.

I just purchased one of these and a joye 510 auto battery. I missed the auto even though they are bound for problems, but was wondering if someone would or has done a video review of this pcc. I would also like to know if it will hold cartomizers or if they would leak, jw.

I don't do video reviews... no one wants to see my ugly mug on camera, but cartos will fit in there. You just have to take the condoms off to make it work. I usually leave the small plug that goes in the center of the carto in to help minimize leakage. It works pretty well, but sometimes you have to finagle them a bit to get the lid to close.

(btw make sure you read the instructions that come with it or you will run your batteries down and be mad. You have to start the the charge each time you close the lid.)

Thanks, My 510 cartos came from strictlyejuice.com, and their condoms don't have the plug, interestingly enough they still work great. ok, will most likely continue to use my regular carts then and just put my good prophets small drip tip and an atty in there too so i don't gotta worry about leakage, and again, if someone would do a vid it'd be much appreciated!

one more question...anyone know how to remove the printing on the black ruberized shell of any pcc? i really would rather have a plain black case, not a necesity, but just a thought...

WD40 maybe?
ETA: perhaps you could buff it off with toothpaste too. I have done that with cell phones in the past.
