510 solar powered?

I was checking to see what East Mall had on special this week and I saw a solar powered 510 kit for $49.95. The thing that stuck out was they claimed the batts are 2200 mAh. Actually I see the battery PACK is 2200 mAh.

I saw one today with a very high Mah but it only had less than a 1 amp charge to it so it took 20hrs. or more to charge and over 5 hrs. to charge using the usb.

Yeah, I doubted they'd actually worked well. I was intrigued until I realized the batt wasn't 2200 mAh.

I imagine solar powered 510s would be a GREAT thing to have on a long camping trip, as backups of course. Start with em, then when they die put em in the sun and roll out your mod. Run out of batts for that? switch back to the solar.

Oh.....it's a charger...

Having a few of em might not be bad, but having a larger, fold out solar panel would be MUCH better. If I can get ahold of one, might experiment with the concept.

It's a great concept but there just isn't enough square inches of surface area on the solar panel.

I saw a solar USB cell phone charger on ebay once that had a roll out solar panel that was abot 12" -x- 24". Something like that might work better to put on the dash board of your car or when camping.

Yeah I think I saw one of those cell chargers somewhere a while back. And it did have a roll out. Wonder how long that box would have to stay in the sun to draw 2200 mAh?

Demon, if you can't do it first do it better. To be honest I've been considering it too, ever since I saw a post about a solar powered battery a whiiile ago, but I don't have the knowledge of solar power to do it yet.

If you do....do it! Get it out there man, it'd be a great thing for any avid outdoorsmen (or women for that matter) who vape!

Maybe the same amount of time as it takes for you to get it from China.
