so cartomizers are a combination atomizer / cart. They are prefilled with juice and last for roughly about half a pack of traditional cigarettes. They can be re-filled quite easily for a pretty long period of time. a 5 pack of cartomizers will run anywhere from $8 - $13 depending on where you shop.

a 510 is a traditional seperate atomizer cart model like the 901. For my money i feel the 510 is the best atomizer you can get.

Your mom said not to say...
Cartomizers have the atomizer in the cartridge, the construction is different. The 510 and other models have the atomizer, the battery, and the cartridge all separate. 2 pieces for the cartomizers and 3 pieces for the E-Cigs.

I believe the Red Dragon would be classified as a cartomizer, while the 510 and M401 like the Dragon are classified as vaporizer. I have a 510 and a Dragon from Truesmoker.com so I can't speak about how long the carts last in a cartomizer, but it's my firm belief that their isn't a cartridge made today that last for the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes and you should run from anyone who says that theirs is.

I almost got a Red Dragon as my first E-Cig but went with the Dragon instead after examing the cost over time.

I used my 510 for about 3 weeks until my VaporKing arrived. I haven't touched the 510 since. Sadly, I have tons of unused parts and carts gathering dust! *sighs*

To me, there is no comparision! Consistant good taste and throat hits without having to drip, top off the carts, blow out the antomizers etc....

If you haven't been to the Vapor4Life forum in the supporting suppliers section, check it out. We are a pretty devoted crowd - and most of us are former 510ers ;)

Whatever you choose, I wish you happy vaping!
