MBV will tell you to steep their tobaccos for at least 2 weeks. I have ordered 3--555, American, and one other (forgot the name-East Coast, maybe)
. I simply didn't like any of them: not at 1 week, nor 3 weeks, nor 6 weeks. They were Terrible at first, but improved slightly by the 3 week mark. My biggest problem with them was a maple taste. Turned me right off... you are right, though, there is THAT taste, whatever it is, to the flavor. It's really a shame, because I wanted to like them. Other juices (non tobacco) have been Great. Guess their tobaccos are just not for me.

I filled a clear tank. Is it okay for it to sit with the juice in it while it steeps or should I empty the tank?

I would put it back in the bottle if you can. I'd imagine less oxygen would get to it that way.

Don't get me wrong, mbv is doing many things well... love the prices, but that 555 makes my top 5 all time least favorite juices...

It just goes to show how much taste buds and preferences vary. You were able to vape 5P while I had to dump each of them.

So back to the OP, it just may not be your flavor. Any tobacco you pick up from MBV will take a while to steep to reach full flavor though.

I stopped trying to find my perfect MBV tobacco juice as soon I tried NET's from vendors known for tobacco juices. MBV is a great company, but they really have to step it up to win over tobacco ejuice fans.

That said, of the tobacco juices I have had, they really needed to steep for a while. 555 from any vendor is supposed to have a nutty flavor, so that maybe where you getting the maple from in early steeping stages. I really have never tried to put juice back in an MBV bottle though. It seems like it be an exercise in futility. I would say leave it in the tank for another 4 or 5 days and then vape it or dump it out and wait for a while before coming back to that juice.

I just tried 555 from MBV. It is about 3 days old. It has a really odd semi unpleasant flavor and I can't put my finger on it not sure if I like it or not. Has anyone tried that one? What do you think? How long to steep till it is vapeable?

let it steep for at least a week i bought a 50ml bottle of it and thought it tasted like wet dog and thought i wouldn't be able to vape it but after 3 weeks of bouncing around in my bike bag / vqpe bag it taste like a verry good nutty pipe tobacco. As a matter of fact i am going to fill my mod with it right now lol

its def. an odd take on the 555. i get a somewhat mapley flavor out of it. to me it tastes a lot like the MBV RY4, minus the vanilla. as much as i disliked the RY4, i am really liking the 555. i usually vape V4l wow555 and smokless image 555 (basically the same juice) and they are stellar. MBV 555 is great as well, but i dont know if i would consider it a 555. might just be me, but i would consider it more of a custom RY4 (even though there isnt any vanilla in there)

i def. got that on day 1. after a week or so, it rocks... the MBV RY4 however always tasted and smelled like a wet dog taking a leak of a stack of wet and moldy vintage news papers. what made it worse was, i blindly bout 4 50ml bottles of it out of sheer naivety of RY4's. my first juice was apollo RY4 and its still my ADV. was looking for cheaper, bigger alternative and went for the 4 big bottles...twas a shame to watch them go down the drain...haha
