5v Box mod and lower ohm atty/carto

Hi.
Hopefully this is the right place to post this......

I use the 5v box mods religiously with the two trustfire 14500 batts. Recently I have tried the dual coil cartos and the batteries stop working. I can remove and reconnect but that isn't a long-term solution and it may not even be wise.

This also happens with some 2.8-3.0 ohm attys after a while.

The only thing I can safely use and works without fail is my standard setup: 801 attys at 3.2 ohm

Any ideas?

It sounds like your batteries are tripping their protection circuit. You'll need some batteries that can produce 3.33 amps for a 1.6 ohm dual coil at 5.0v. Madvapes doesn't carry IMRs, but that's what you should probably consider getting. AW brand and MNKE brand IMR batteries are top-notch, but the blue unbranded ones work well, too.
