Here's my first 5 volt mod. The inspiration was a couple of mods that Warp did in Altoids boxes.

I cut three slits (with a Dremel) for the LED to shine through. That's not a reflection on the left, that's a "High Brightness" LED (Radio Shack 276-0017). It's really overkill. I can use this thing as a flashlight. There is no doubt when the kill switch is activated!

That's two 14500 (protected) batteries in series, that connect to the kill switch (in the lower left corner). From there to the TI 5 volt regulator (upper left corner), center pin grounded and the output splits between a 330 ohm resistor (to the LED to ground, between the kill switch and regulator) with the other running up between the batteries to the main switch, to the atty, which is grounded to the tin.

A little easier to see without the batteries.

The wiring is a little long because I built some of it outside of the box, then stuffed the components back in. mainly in case I have to replace any, but also it made it easier. Between the kill switch, resistor, LED, and regulator, there ain't much room to work in there.

Vapes so good I got almost dizzy! I may have to switch to a lower nic juice with this puppy.
