5V vaping just not for me. Is it really for you?

It's not about vapor production. It's about bringing out flavors in juice that aren't present at low wattage.

To each their own, if vaping at an extremely low wattage works for you then more power to ya!

I don't notice considerably more vapor at higher voltage. I see a much steeper climb in vapor production between PG and VG juices than I do wattage increments.

For right now I don't want to buy or build another mod kit. I don't want to invest a lot of money in vaping all in the beginning. Maybe after a while I'll try some VV mods or something. And I found a 5ohm carto at madvapes. Maybe I'll give those a try.

EDIT: and the math isn't really that crazy, at least I don't think so. Seems pretty simple to calculate watts IMO. And I know less ohms = higher watts, and vise versa

The only problem is there is a Huge, Continuous Range of ohms for Carto and Attys up to 3.0ohms. After that your choice gets Smaller and Smaller.

But Maybe the 5.0 ohm Carto will be perfect for you.

I'm with Zoid...VV all the way!

...

I'll tell you A.G. that I could have saved Myself a Boat Load of Money and wouldn't have a Drawer full of Failed Half Step Starter Kits if I had just Bought a VVPV when they First came out.

Being able to go from 3.2~6.0 volts in .1 volt increments is the Only Way to Fly.

Variable Voltage FTW!

I have two Provari with a Bulli A2-T & a Mark Infinity T & they are wonderful! I build my own coils & set the PVs to whatever ohm my coil turns out to be. My only real expenses with those two mods are juice & electricity to charge the batts. Wire & wick cost me like $0.50 a month.

Of course the Vmod XL is my travel buddy. It's only a 3.7v 18650 mod, but I can toss it around carelessly without worrying about breaking it.

After a person is over the intimidation factor.

When a noob is still intimidated by an eGo a Provari like PV is the last thing they need.

Got my daughter an eGo for Christmas (her first PV), shook my head when it took both hands to operate it because it had a button to push.

I tried a 2.2 ohm 510 atty at 7.4v With the atty wet to flooded all I could taste was burnt juice so ya it does bring flavors out you cant get at lower wattage

I'm not intimidated by it, I just like modest amount of vapor I guess.

And was it suppose to take 2 hands to operate? Or was she just doing it wrong?

There is a point of too high of wattage, I'm in no way denying this.

But there is plenty of flavor that can be brought out of most liquids at a higher wattage than 5...

Once again, higher wattage does not always correlate to more vapor!

In fact I don't think anyone here vapes at a higher wattage for more vapor.

People vape at a higher wattage for increased flavor and a warmer throat hit!!

I got it the first 3 times you told me. I think I might have hit a nerve? (rhetorical, doesn't need to be answered)

And back to the whole point of this thread...carto/atty suggestions for the particular mod I was referencing. Something that doesn't produce massive vapor, or strong TH.

I like 10-12 watts for the most part.
    Depends on the juice...

    Yeah...5 watts...that's pretty weak.

The point of this thread is moot. People have recommended plenty of setups, none of which are going to work for you because in order to reach the wattage you are seeking a 5v power source is just too high for you. You need 3.7v battery to do what you wanna do.
