Hey guys. I have a RS maxi arriving today, and I plan to be using it at 5v. I also plan to get a couple 306 attys from madvapes (the ones with the drip tips), and I'm wondering what resistance I should get. Since I've never experienced 5v or a 306, I'm not really sure which way to go here.

I'm assuming the 2.5 is going to be the best, but is there a reason I should be looking at 1.8 or 3.0?

That being said, it seems like the LR 306s are extremely popular. Are people actually liking 3.7v and 1.8 together more than 5v and 2.5 (or whatever you suggest)? Or is it just because most people only have 3.7v batteries?

Thanks!

I have to agree with Zig....get the dual coil cartos. They work really well at 5 volts. If your dead set on the 306's, you may be disappointed. There have been mixed reviews but even so, I wouldn't go any higher than 2.5 Ohms. 306's can be somewhat temperamental and are prone to leaking. When you get a good one though, there's nothing like it. I bought the "Cisco" 306 1.5 Ohm atomizers and a Cannon drip tip. It worked really well but it leaked a lot and I eventually gave up on it.

I would go 2.5ohm Min and 3ohm even better for 5V, quick rule of thumb for Atty & Voltage pair up,,,, add 2.2 volts to whatever the Atty ohm resistance is and you will get to a decent vape.

See Example ;

1.5ohm Atty 3.7V
2 ohm Atty 4.2V
2.5ohm Atty 4.7V
3ohm Atty 5.2v

This rule is just for quick reference only.
