6 days later, still some questions about troath hit and taste

Hi,
I've been vaping since wednesday of last week. So far, I really like it.
I haven't smoke analogs since thursday, amazing! I never thought I could that! It's so easy!
But I still have some questions.
I bought a 510 with manual batteries.
I'm vaping the RY4 from evapers.com using ADM mod (auto drip mod).
I get a good troath hit on the 4 first drags, but after that, I can't seem the get any TH along with a "special taste". The first drags taste fine, but after 4, I get some sort of melt plastic/burn taste. However, the cartridge is full. I tried holding my ecig down to let the juice get into the atty but it doesn't seem the change anything.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong... is it the original taste of RY4?

It kinda sounds like you're burning dry despite the ADM. You might want to consider taking things apart to see if the packing/wick have any damage. If it's partially roasted I can imagine it working ok for a couple of hits but not being able to move the juice fast enough for a long session.

Does it do the same thing with an unused cart?

I am stillnew to this--but--I have found that if I stick with one flavor, I will lose the throat hit. Try a different flavor and you will get it back. But the above poster is right you may be running dry if you are getting a burnt taste. Although it seems to me that RY4 seems to get the burnt taste quicker than other flavors.

I am about in the same time vaping & had a quick question on this topic. How do you disassemble the 510 atty? It seems like the brass atty & the metal tube are one piece but is there a trick to getting it apart to check the wick/atty?

Are you puffing on it a bunch, pretty quickly? Sounds like you're vaping faster than the atty can wick the juice. Take a couple of puffs, then give it a minute or two.

I forgot to say something, when I fill the cartridge, I usually direct drip 2-3 drops right onto the atty. So it seems that the problem is defenitely not the atty itself but the cartridge.
I take a slow 4-5 seconds drag and wait 15-20 seconds before taking another one.
I think I'll try the zero filler mod when I'll get back home to see if I can get better results.
I hope it's gonna work. I love vaping so much, I'll never smoke analogs again!

Ok so I tried zero filler mod from scottyballs. I've been vaping for almost an hour now.
Seems to be... perfect so far!
Works really great, constant troath hit, flavour and vapor. Excellent! I think i'll order premade plugs from him tonight because it was such a pain in the a** to make the tiny hole by myself but I got it.


Edit: Does anybody know how many ml can hold a 510 cartridge? Just for my information.
