Vaping and Satisfaction - E-Cigarette ForumI wrote this back in April.
6 months later I am still convinced that the longer we ingest tobacco based products, the longer it will take to wean ourselves off analogs.
The vaping community unlike the non-smoking community state any analog avoided is a good analog. We do not condemn folks who still smoke but at a reduced rate, and I am totally cool and supportive of this approach.
The stumbling block if you read both links, is the ability to vape a liquid that will satisfy the "psychological" trigger. Before low res attys and HV, this had to be accomplished at 3.7V. Now it is conducted with the minimal required to get the job done. The latter encompasses liquids, liquid strengths, atty used and voltage. I will only vape suffciciently for the trigger to go away.
During my journey I have decreased my intake and find myself vaping more and more at 18mg vice 24, and 24mg vice 30 (cigar and pipe). Being retired has handicapped my progress, because when I am busy, I often forget to vape. Something that didn't happen when I smoked.
I hope this helps... wanting to quit and promising myself the the missus would never kiss another ashtray again is my crutches, not to mention the research into what cigs contained and their effects on the body.
