#635 Mesh T316 Stainless steel wire mesh

I'm wondering if anyone has gotten their hands on this stuff and tried a build with it?? How does it compare to #500?? I tried to find a place to purchase it but the only place I could find came in quantites that would require a group purchase or a vendor who wants to cut it up and sell pieces. **Now that I've looked a little harder at the pricing, this stuff costs too much for even a GB or vendor. **


My smok Pyrex RSST shows a delivery date of Tuesday so I'm trying to figure out what I should order for the build.

$222 for a square foot?! That's insane.

There's a UK based company that has these "Coming soon...". Hope they have more sane prices.

there was a few who tested 600 and above. the results were good but the % of wicking beyond 500 didnt warrant the arm and leg +2 chickens prices they are asking for it. if you can get it cheap i would get some if not no real loss (the vendors who do stock it are very proud if it looking at the prices lol)

Thanks Thrasher. #500 it is then. I'll probably get some #400 and #325 as well. See what I like best.

so far I have gotten great results with 500. 300 and 400 were good as well but since 500 became popular about a year ago, results have been pretty consistent and almost never a mesh based wicking problem ( but user error is another story lol...)

The local B&M I get mine from only has 450. I really like it but I would like to try 500/+. I would like to know more about the expensive stuff assuming that it last as long.

I use 400 and 500. I notice little difference between the two. Both work great, for me. I wouldn't waste my money on 635.
