Hi guys - Can you guys give me some suggestions:

I ordered from Canada ejuice some 30ml of 70PG/30VG with 18mg of Nicotine. It's for my mum to help her get of cigs (analogs you guys call'em?). However this mix had way too much throat hit. Can you recommend something that's more mild, with less throat hit. Where should I order from? What mix can I get to reduce the throat hit to a mild smoke-equivalent?

Hi! Quite a few juices burn the back of my throat, but I found something (just tonight!) that seems to fix it. ECBlends calls it "Cool Hit" and TPA calls it "Koolada." It adds a coolness to your vape, but no flavor. I'm having lots of fun tasting juices that I couldn't handle before. Maybe it will help. I also think the nic level can be an issue (although I don't know for sure). I was vaping 12mgs, but thought I was vaping too much so I got my favorite flavor in 18mgs, but didn't like it as much.

There are a few options to try. I, for instance, can't do 18mg at 100% PG, but I'm good with 18mg at 75% PG or lower. Tried 24mg at 50/50, too harsh. You could either try a lower PG % or go with a lower nic level. Either one may work. 12mg at 70/30 offers, for me, a smooth texture, good flavor, and easier throat hit. Or try the "Cool Hit" as The Ocelot suggested. You could also try ordering a flavor you know she likes, be it butterscotch or vanilla or anything, in sample sizes of varying nicotine strengths and PG/VG ratios just to get a feel for what may work best and then go from there.

What juice does she have? Sometimes, steeping will calm it down somewhat. Maybe she needs to find a different juice, or a different vendor. Just a thought.

What battery and heating coil attachment is your mother using? An attachment (cartomizer, clearomizer, atomizer, ce3) with a low resistance (LR - ie. <1.8 ohm) can cause too hot of a throat hit for some people.

If the above recommendations of changing juice pg/vg ratios and nicotine percentage don't help, consider using a higher resistance attachment (SR or standard resistance - ie. 2.0 - 2.5 ohm) for a milder, cooler vape.
