I'm not sure but I think this was late sixties but it got played a lot in the 70's (Sweet Child in Time)

Also on the "Made in Japan" album. Yes, "album". One of the first vinyl purchases I made.

If we were talking about 60s music, then Deep Purple's "Hush" would be in play.

I never was big on rules. How about late sixties through seventies.

Oh, don't matter much to me either. And a lot of the bands that were huge in the 70's have some interesting 60's roots. Like The Who covering "Heat Wave".

Styx: Lady

The Wikipedia article on Rock says the "Golden Age" of Rock'n'Roll was 63-74. Well that term reminded me of ... Mott the Hoople: The Golden Age of Rock'n'Roll -- I think that's actually taken from the LP, cuz I'm hearing some skips that are unlike CD hiccups.

And, since Bowie wrote a tune for Mott, gotta throw some of him in here too.David Bowie: Suffragette City

I've heard there's some person out there recording as "Beck", but for me there's only one Beck, and his name is Jeff.Jeff Beck: Freeway Jam

Yah, but do we have any true quadrophonic sound anymore?

I never had a quad system. For that matter, I don't have a Dolby Surround system either.

But I'm also quite happy with my Parasound/NHT/Velodyne stereo system. I do need a new turntable, cuz the old Dual is kinda long in the tooth.

It's kinda funny listening to these things one at a time. My brain is automatically forwarding to the next track on the LP as the tune fades out.

Speaking of that ... The Who: Love Reign O'er Me from Quadrophenia, of course!
