Ok so ive been at this for about a month and i got it after spending way too much on bad products.

first i started with the blu wast if my money in my opinion.
Spent more to make the blu work better wast again bought volcano atty, blue foam, ect.

Then i went to the normal 510 kit was much better blew the blu away. then the battery became a problem way to much chargeing. i got a bad passthru so it would have been better if that had worked for home use

after that got a ego kit love it will never use any thing else. unless i go to higher voltage

trying to help the noobs not make the same mistakes i made.

it may take me forever to break even but i feel better for doing it.

You know that makes allot of sense. I started with the 510 and they're good but the battery life is short. I like cartomizers better and they are pretty much all I use now. I think cartos are a better set up so I've been recommending the KR808D-1 but, although longer than 510, they still have a short battery use time. The Ego would cover both of those issues.

I went through the same thing with GreenSmokes. I tried to make them work until I realized it was pointless and I wasn't going to be happy. Luckily, I'm getting my money refunded and I now have a 510PT and an eGo. So much happier!

yep.. if folks just listened....go straight to the eGo....forget about ecigs that look like cigs. forget about automatic. just go directly to an eGo with a mega cylindrical cartridge and mega atomizer and be done with it. the only thing that could get better is an automatic juice feeder mod. but for a very inexpensive start up, the eGo is THE way to go for a GREAT vaping experience.

Egos (Large batteries) and a passthru are the only way to go. Got 510maga atty's that hold enough Juice for a few hits, waiting for my ego maga atty's and should have the best setup for now. I'm sure sometime I will be getting a juice mod.
If you are just starting, get the above. Money wise, the ego kits are about the same price as the smaller battery kits and you will be fixed up for a good start.

Don't get a GGTS and AVS then, high voltage plus juice feeder = 12ml-18ml a day of juice to feed my habit, lucky I make my own juice lol.

Me, too, to all of the above! I posted about it in the "What I Would Do Differently" thread, 10 days after I received my first kit. And I've made more changes since then -- and spent lots more money. But if my two eGo batteries will last, I shouldn't have to buy anything more until 2011. The keyword is "shouldn't," but I betcha I will.

I guess I was just lucky. My first e cig was a dse901 which was about $70 then I got the screw driver MKII and that has a great battery life at least 12 hours. And that was $100 for the kit. I just recently bought the Silver bullet which was $85 plus $30 for batteries and a charger. But with everything including liquid I am ahead of the game by about $50 so far.

Thank you so much for this thread. I am new and this is only my second post. I haven't ordered my first kit yet because I am sooo confused. I told my daughter a couple of weeks ago, after seeing Katherine Heigle smoke an ecig on David Letterman, that I was going to try it so I could quit smoking. I don't have to tell you what I found the first time I googled it, ha ha! I don't have a lot of money to burn (I know that's the first time you've heard that one!), and really want to make sure I buy the right thing the first time. Thanks for all of the information you guys post!

Darn it my post disappeared ...I guess after too much time it logged me out? Oh well I will start over...I am so glad I can learn the good/bad here. I quit smoking 5 years ago and STILL miss my ciggs! I tried a friends Blu....fell in love as soon as I saw the vapor. I am so ready to get started but its really intimidating & its obviously not an inexpensive hobby. From what I can see its either 510 or Ego?

I recently just started vaping and made the same mistake of buying the blu, even ordered an volcano atty to try to make it better. But I eventually ordered the Magma 510, and I'm loving that right now.

i would have went straight to the ego, but the looks like a cigarette thing got me. i really wish i would have listened, but it took seeing a vid of the ego. I'm just happy that I didn't spend more money trying to get my blu to work.

I've never used the ego, but it's just a bigger battery 510 so I'd love to recommend it to everyone. Unfortunately a lot of people start out thinking that they want a small one, so I'm stuck recommending the 510, which will get most people off analogs and help them change their mind about the size thing, then they can move up to the ego. On a plus note, the original 510 gives them a backup or something to loan to a friend.
