I recently switched from V2Cigs to an Ego-c Twist and Vivi Mini with a 1.8ohm atomizer. During my later V2 days, I was using blanks with 80/20 liquids from Mt. Baker. The vapor production was abysmal and I assumed it was because V2's hardware wasn't all that great. So when I got my new setup I put the same liquid in my Vivi Mini and tried adjusting the battery anywhere from 3.2 to 3.8ish volts. The vapor production was slightly better but still not very good at all. I know that 80/20 isn't supposed to produce huge plumes of vapor by any means, but I was hoping for something a little more substantial.

Can anybody give me any tips on how to make this blend produce thicker vapor given the equipment I'm using? I have a few bottles of 80/20 liquid sitting around and I would hate to let them go to waste. Or would I be better off ordering a 50/50 mix and calling it a day?

Hey, I started with V2 myself! FAIL! At least for me anyway. They did the job for about 3 months and then right back to smoking. I am right now looking at a bottle of Sahara flavor juice to my left. In my experience VG is the key to clouds of vapor. The juice is good but you need the right set up. It performs very poorly in a Vivi tank. It's just too thin of a juice. I put it in a Cartomizer tank and the performance was much better. I used a Boge Standard Resistance cartomizer in an F-16 tank. Gosh I hope I'm not talking over your head.

A thicker blend with more VG will work great in your Vivi tank. I use 100% VG myself and clouds of vapor are produced. The Ego Twist is a great starter battery, it will do you no wrong.

Hope that helped.

I was advised against going above 50/50 VG in a Vivi Mini due to wicking issues. Is this a legitimate concern?

I vaped a test amount of 20/80 just the other day. It was a bit of a job to get it to start wicking (3 or 4 draws) but when it did... WOOO fog bank city!

That was in a ProTank. I would assume the the Vivi Mini would do the same. (Corrections gladly accepted Vivi Mini users :) )

Protank and the Vivi Nova arent even close in regards to flavor with higher vg juices.

Nova has wicking issues with anything above 50/50 and can cause loss of flavor.

Protank has its coils on the bottom so no wicking issues or loss of flavor.

I do actually have a bottle of 20/80 sitting around. Would there be any harm in trying it in a Vivi Mini?

Just make sure everything is clean and you should get decent vapor. I use 80/20 because I like the throat hit but sometimes it will seem like there should be more vapor. That is to be expected unless you have a vv or vw device you can crank up. I use a vv Gripper and a Vamo V2 and there is a fair amount of vapor but, I do have to crank them up. You can always go to a carto tank which I use as well.

No harm at all, just be aware that if youre looking for you all day vape, in addition to trying them again in a few months because of your tastebuds changing, try them in a different juice delivery device as well.
