801 battery sensor

I recently had one of my battery sensors start sticking. It takes a very strong drag to get it to activate. Any way to fix this?

I've got a couple like that between my 801 and my 901. I tap 'em on something hard (head, desk, knee) and that seems to free them up for a bit.

Never underestimate the value of percussive maintenance.

Chances are that smoking fluid leeched into the battery and is causing the switch to stick. 'Percussive maintenance' (thanks for that Skad) is one technique. Several sets of puffs and inhales on the battery to coax the switch into moving is another. Once user posted something about submersing part of the battery n liquid to help dissolve smoking fluid build up. Do what you are comfortable with.
