Hi Quo, dont boil them!! They have a little silicone sealing ring on them. When you get an atty too hot, that melts and they short out. if you look at the battery end of a good atty, you will see the silicone seal ring. I chain vape and only clean an atty when performance really drops and blowing it out doesnt seem to help.

I boiled a couple and killed them too. The very best way I have found to clean them is to rinse them well with 100 proof vodka. I hold my finger over the battery end and fill half full of vodka, cover both ends and shake it a few minutes, blow out with air and put them batt side up in a shot glass with a paper towel in the bottom.

Also, during the day I blow the atty out with canned air a few times (depending upon how heavy you vape). You will be surprised at what comes out. There is a lot of condensation created by vaping and it really cuts an attys performance.

Again, dont boil them to clean them!! Also, getting them hot enough to glow is hard on them. With my prodigy I have to hold the button down far past the recommended 4-5 sseconds to get them to glow. Hope this helps.

I posted the paragraph below on another post, but this would be the most appropriate one. I have always been satisfied with Totally Wicked's products, pricing, and shipping.
I am hoping my problem below is just a fluke.

"Today I am not a happy camper. I ordered a 5 pack of 801 atomizers which I received today. I have always been happy with shipping, and haven't really had problems with the products from Totally Wicked. ( one of my super mini batteries was dead on arrival, but I had ordered a 5 pack backup and they all worked so I didn't worry about the one that came with the kit). However, in the 801 5 pack of atomizers, only 2 of the atomizers worked. yes, I know, they aren't refundable, but I felt that receiving a 5 pack in which 3 are dead, is a bit much! Unfortunately, I ordered a second 5 pack this morning before these arrived in the mail. Had I known the odds, I would not have placed this order. I did call, as I would try to at least hear from the company before posting on a forum to complain, but I didn't hear anymore than the fact that because of the "great deal" they can't do anything. That is just the way it goes. If 3 of the 5 worked I wouldn't be so upset, but I think that this should be known to members of the forum. These odds weren't good. I only hope my other order of 5 turns out better! "

The two that do work, work great. I am using them on my VP2.

I only just tested mine when I got them, but I think mine are acting very similarly to yours illspeed. I also noticed they are VERY low. In fact, my cartridges don't make any contact with them at all so I have to drip even if I have a cartridge in their...weird. I'm using a JS btw.

yea i knew that they were the low bridge style attys when i ordered them. The cartridges for these attys hold a stupid amount of liquid.

I have a janty stick v2 with a tw 801 atty going on 4weeks 2days. Blow it out daily. Love the tw juice too. My orginal dura atty lasted 1 week. But i didnt blow it out daily. I am sold on tw,just dont like the little devil, lol

Yeah, but it's tough to see the little devil inside the JS. =)

And, I kind of like the look of that 1/4" of silver where the atty juts out of the stick.
