Anyone know what the mm thread size is on the 808 cartos? I would like to get a tap for that size to clean up some of the threads on some cartos that seem to be a little rough.
Also, is the shallow slot on the center post actually for a screwdriver to adjust the center post? Seems difficult to turn with a screwdriver because the screwdriver doesn't get a good bite.

Take a look at this thread, remember, 901's are compatible w/ the 808 (thread wise).

Thanks Turbo, no listing for an 808 size tap. I have some cartos that the threads are sticking on my 901 threads, and want to clean up the carto threads by running a bottoming in there. May have to get a metric pitch gage to see what pitch the thread is, then maybe I can figure what size to get.

No problem, yeah, I've even seen differences in tolerances between 808's, think all models have the same woes.

Rather than adjusting the carto's, try sanding down the battery thread instead.

It works for me, all the carto's fit fine after doing so. Even the looser threaded carto's still attach to the battery sufficiently.

ps. Dont get confused with the 808's.

There is the DSE808, and the KR808D-1. KR808D-1 is the cartomizer version of the 901 (KR adds holes in the threads for airflow). I don't think DSE808 is 901-compatible.
