901 Adapter for Janty Stick

I just finished a 901 adapter for my Janty Stick - woo woo!

I used a dead 801 atty and a live 901 batt.

I didn't take any pics along the way and now that it's together and working, I dare not mess with it.

Here's the text version at least....

The bottom of the atty is a press fit connection so I just pushed everything out from the bottom using a screwdriver from the top and firmly tapping down until it all came out.

There is a spacer tube and gasket in the body that I also removed (same push out method) - saved the gasket for later.

I slid the 901 batt into the tube with an atty on to get a feel for the length needed and then
cut the 901 batt with a pipe cutter going slow so as not to crush the tube.

Pulled everything out of the 901 batt so I was left with just the connector and short length of tube.

The outter threads of both the 801 atty and 901 batt make electrical contact with the tube body so all I needed was a connection from the center holes of each - a small nail worked perfectly for that.

I soldered the 901 batt tube to the inside/bottom of the 801 connector.
Soldered the nail to each vent hole sealing them in the process (another plus).

Then I used that gasket to put around the 901 batt and shoved the whole arrangement into the 801 atty body.
A little spit/water on the gasket helps it slide both on the 901 batt and into the 801 atty.

The gasket helped center the 901 battery connector and added additional friction so that screwing on the 901 atty wouldn't spin the whole thing inside the 801 atty body.

I then used my wood vice to press the 801 atty connector back into the 801 body tube.

Screwed the adapter into my stick, attached my 901 atty and I was up and running - 30 minutes start to finish.

I basically did the same thing for my KR808D-1 I didn't solder the drill bit I used because with both connectors pressed it held in tight
I also had to flare the KR tube to hold the 801/112 atty connecter

I know...just afraid to try and take it apart to show it now that it's together and working.

I plan to make another one as soon as my next 801 atty dies - vaping heavy now with camera ready
