When I got my Screwdriver MK11 kit last Friday it came with two 901 atomizers. Of course since I'm a 510 guy, I just used the adaptor I bought to use my 510 atomizer on it right away instead. And until today I hadn't tried out the 901 atomizers that came with it. And I have to say, I'm not disappoited, but there are some cons.

Pro's:
1. very smooth and a nice amount of thick vapor
2. the atomizer stays very cool to touch
3. vapor is always cool as well, unless of course I chain vape on it nonstop

Cons:
1. There is barely ANY throat hit at all, no matter what kind of liquid I use on them
2. Hardly any flavor to the vapor no matter what liquid I use
3. The threading is inverted, which can make cleaning them very difficult

All in all, this isn't a terrible atomizer like some I have had. There are some very nice pro's for people that are looking for those kinds of specifics in an atomizer, and the same goes for cons if someone wants the complete opposite, although this is only my personal opinion... While something might be true to me (no throat hit and cold vapor) it may be false to someone else. But It is a wonderful backup for me if all of my other atomizers die on me.

Anyone have any thoughts or comments about the 901 atomizers? I would like to see if anyone agrees or disagrees with this post!

I started with the DSE901 and still prefer that and even the M40x atomizer to the 510. Too harsh and hot for me. I prefer the flavor from the 901. As far as throat hit, brand and flavor of juice can change that. But for a given juice yes the 510 gives more of a hit.

The 510 was my first atomizer and first love in the e cig world so I know my opinion is biased when I compare the two, but with the 510 out of the picture the 901 is pretty damn spiffy compared to the 6 atomizers I hve ever tried. I just loove how smooth the vapor is. And yes I agree with you about the 510 getting too hot, it is a nuisance

Seems to me every new atty I bring into service is a little different than the last. I too started with a 510 and can't knock them they are OK. For the last couple of months I've been using HV 901s from VKs and they are good all around. Like I said Bro try the other 901 as it's likely to have different characteristics. Maybe,,,maybe not.

I use the 901 on my Ego. I started with the 510 , tried lr 510 and then 901. I love the 901.
You do have to remember 901 is a juice stingy atty. Coming from the 510 I didnt realize I was semi flooding it and getting a lower th. It really runs a lot dryer then the 510, Skimp on the juice and you will get the th and the flavor :)

Ahhh now that makes sense. I have been putting a lot of juice in it thinking that since it's a taller atomizer it needs more juice. Thanks for the tip I'm going to give that a try.

I've been using both 901 and 510 high resistance attys on my 6V mods lately and at first I didn't think that there was any difference in performance. I was vaping a chocolate juice but when I switched back to my menthol I found the difference. The 901 definitely delivers the flavor of the menthol more than the 510. There seems to be no difference in vapor and I get a great throat hit from the 901 at this voltage. I tried both and I think I'm stickin' with my 901s.
