901 batt problem

My apologies if this has been asked before, have searched and not found a thread.

A newish battery on my 901 has just started lighting the LED as soon as its touched or moved, light flashes for about 10 secs then stops (regardless if on atty or not), this is obviously killing the charge in the batt.

Anyone know cause or cure ? or shall I just right it off as another dead batt (to add to the collection )

sounds like the sensor is bad or maybe some fluid dripped in. I'd write it off as bad/dead but then try cleaning with electrical contact cleaner (get it at auto parts store or maybe walmart). It may help, but may not.
