901 burning bad

Well I got my dse901 this morning from Altsmoke and I let the first battery charge for 7 hours. If you didn't read my other thread, my girlfriend has a njoy ncig penstyle that I have been using. After my battery charged up all of the way I cleaned out two of the carts that came with it and filled one with strawberry and one with menthol. When I used them on my girlfriends I loved the taste, the strawberry was nice and sweet without much of a throat hit, and the menthol was nice and cold with a cool throat hit. Now when I tried them in mine, I dont get any strawberry taste but the first time is okay, any pull after that burns my throat like crazy. The menthol is fine on the first pull but like before after that it burns too much to keep vaping.

Does anyone know what is going on. I know my girlfriends had a little break in time(about a day) and I'm hoping that my problem is the same. If you have any advice or more questions let me know, I need to get myself away from analogs.

The 901's "compact" the vapor more, as they only have 1 airhole in them - the NCig has 4 holes in the atomizer.... it allows more air in, so it dilutes the vapor more.

There's going to be an adjustment period for you, when I started vaping with my 901 (my first) I'd just puff for a bit, just to get my mouth acclimated to the drier vapor. Then, when I felt ready to do an inhale, I'd fill my mouth with vapor, open and let some dribble out, then inhale the remaining vapor and a good amount of air, as well.... This way it didn't slam the throat and lungs and make me cough. Once I'd taken a few "diluted" inhales this way, I could handle a full pull. It took me about a week to very carefully acclimate myself to the drier vapor.

Drink liquids when vaping in the beginning, too, to keep your mouth and throat moist. And, if you experience a very dry throat in the morning, try gargling with cola (pepsi, coke, RC, any will do).
Above all, stick with it - getting off analogs is worth it in the end!

Unforgivensinner--do you in fact have a DSE901 or do you have an RN4075 which burns much hotter and IMO is so hot that it, cooks the e-liquid at way to high a rate --look at the atomzer thread and see if there is branded lettering there--if there is none--you have an RN4075--and this is a common problem with their new design---Sun

I do have a real dse901. I have the SLB on the battery and the atomizer. But thats what I figured was that I just need to get used to it. The drinking liquids idea is a real help, thats what I'm doing now. Im just hoping that when I get used to it that the flavor gets a little stronger, or at least a little more noticable.

To add onto this, it feels like the atomizer is getting really hot. almost like it isn't getting enough air through it to get rid of the heat. Is that normal. And if I plug up the little hole on the atomizer should I be able to get air through it or is it really hard and barely any air?

Unforgivensinner--The atomizer can only get hot when power is applied to it. So it may well be that at the thread of the atomizer there is a shorting issue going on--I would abstain from using it anymore. Sun

Well before I read your post about not using it, I tried dripping instead of filling the cart like I have been. It worked fine, it got warm but not hot. and the vape was a little more thick. Im happy that it works when I drip but kinda disappointed about having to carry around my juice with me and drip every time I want to use it. Im thinking maybe its just not pulling enough out of the cart, has anyone heard of or had that problem, and if so is there a way to fix it?

I've got a funky battery for my 901 that occasionally takes off without turning on the LED and I discovered that by the NASTY vape you get when it has been running for a while, pulled the cart just to see what was going on and the coil was red hot but no LED indication, uncrewed it and it seems to be OK for a while (don't trust it now). It also would get really hot occasionally which I am sure now was the runaway. Possible? HTH.
