901/KR808D-1, REO Grand compatibility

I own a KR808D-1 kit. Unsatisfied with cartomizers, I recently ordered a 901 atomizer (+5 blank carts & 1 drip tip); I haven't gotten them yet, but the way I understand it, this is compatible.

However, I also want to pick up a REO Grand when they are next available. I read the "what you need" thread, but I didn't see anything about 901 atomizers. And on REOsmods, I see that the REOs are compatible with 901 Atomizers.

Will I be ok with my 901 atomizer, or should I be looking for something else?

Hi NJSkip! Yes, you can use a 901...but you will need an adapter as the threads are 510. I don't use 901s so I can't tell you how good they are on these. I do recommend getting a couple of LR510s just in case you end up not liking the 901s on these.

You will need more than one atomizer. 510 and 306 atomizers will fit without adapters. I use LR 306's and figure on replacing them every 1-2 weeks to get consistent vaping quality. It is a good idea to try different atomizers to see which ones you like best with different juices. Generally, fruity or subtle flavors do best with 2.0 ohm - 2.3 ohm atomizers. I am a throat hit junkie, so I use 1.5 ohm attys with cinnamon/menthol juice.

I want to add, apparently 901 attys are notorious for leaking because of where the air vents are located on the atomizer, and the drip shield mentioned in the thread I linked above, is needed to be happy with 901's.
