got ya. i thought it would last longer , which is why i was confused as to only putting them on 440 mah and bigger...

is taste noticeably different ? i heard the vapor is warmer and the vape comes quicker , but how do they do with juice? im guessing you run through more?

The taste on most juices ive tried taste better at lower voltage (3.7v with a ~3.0 ohm atty). Tobacco flavors taste better for me at 5v, but everything has more taste, for me, at a lower voltage. I would never give up 5v though since the flavor change isnt that drastic.

Also, more vapor = more juice vaporized = running through more

EDIT: what batteries are you using? im also using a 3AA box mod but with 2 14500s rated at 3.7v each, regulated down to 5v.

The YO
im using cheap ... , "use in any charger" rayovac's. they work awesome with a regular 3.3 or 3.4 ohm , as they say1.2v , but fuly charged they were 1.46 , and one was 1.62 ... the brand new AA alkaline i bough were energizer e3 or whatever , and they were all 1.39 ... i was pretty thrown off when i put rechageabls in and had close to the exact voltage as 3 alkalines.

the box i used was the 4x AA box , with one cell taken , for the connector. i was still showing almost 4.2 volts on freshly charged nimh. so they are around 1.4 average iirc...

i thought about using lipo's and a regulator , but i dont really like 5v , it seems to get really harsh , almost acrid ... the 4.2 area was good vapor , nice taste , and took a long time to burn my last atty.

i knew the batteries were getting low when i first made it , because after two days on a set of batteries , i started getting sputtering juice coming out of a empty cart. i was dripping the last 2 atties i had , the new style covered tube(large washer is what everyone calls it , but its actually a sleeve like 4801's ). and i love those atomizers. they take dripping better than the last ones i had...

i was thinking a LR atty would allow me to use one or two batteries and put em in a smaller case. but now that i now its the opposite of that , ill pobably just pick up a triple a box , and remake mine properly...it is just a box. im even using the original switch. thouht it crapped out at one point , but i had been messing with some SMD stuff one night and somehow a SD led got into the switch and bound it up...took it apart and its still kicking...

i stuck with AA's by the way , because i used a digitial camera , pda , cell phone , etc etc etc on a daily basis , and already had the charger ans some batteries. so all my mod cost me was the 3$ i spent on the case , and 15$ (not really) for an old battery connector...

my next box im going to work on making an adapter for rca or something more logistically viable. i cant keep spending 15$ for batteries then tearing them apart... and connectors arent any better priced when you add in shipping...

im rambling , but you get my drift...
