The manufacturer I get them from doesn't make that one yet but you can easily daisy chain a 901 to 510 then 510 to 808.. Only about .5" total length.. hoog

I was just trying to avoid doing this. I've found them elsewhere but they mark them up 500%.

Ok here is the lowdown. I used to use 808s but I wont touch a cart with poly. I will shoot a pic of the mod and upload a short mod tutorial. I mod the 901 batts and then they work for both. but I no longer do it. I wont touch anything poly anymore. Besides its a massive waste of space when you can screen mod a 901 or 801 cart. a screen mod 801 cart takes 50 drops.

harpo: not sure if you want to do it or not...depending on the mod that you have that uses 901s ,, but you can dremel a slot through the 901 connector (using the dremel disc)
and that will allow you to use both 901s and Kr8s .. start with a shallow slot and slowly make it deeper until you get the draw you want...

if you are still not sure how to do it ... I will try to find the insrutional thread when I have time...

Are you talking about the center pin or on the lip of the connector?

Use a regular flat file and forget the dremel and drill BS. I did them both and a flat file takes Under a minute. File at an angle until the last traces of threads disappear and a triangle shaped flat appears. It should be half the thickness of the casing. this will give perfect hits on the 808 cartomisers. I wouldn't touch them myself knowing a screen mod in an 801 takes a full 50 drops. Thats 1/2 the wasted time of cartomisers and I hope Hoogie has some of the screens commercialy formed cause the would sell like hotcakes at even a couple bucks each.

Modded like this your 901 connector can take an 808, a 901, a 510 adapter and an 801 adapter. shwing!

Thanks. I use the cartomizers in my GG AFS. Vape two days without adding juice. I gave up carts a long time ago. Do you have a link to this screen mod?

just do it straight across .. center pin and lip... and as brew says you could use a file... I used a dremel because that's what I have, it isn't hard to use, and dremels are COOL :D

I don't use screen mods and I use my cartos as attomizers now taking out the filler and dripping directly on the wicking material and sock

but I am not sure what brew is using but here is one thread for the brass screen mode http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartridge-mods/38161-brass-screen-mod.html

if you google search (lower left of this page) you may find the other threads for the screen mod...

(i use the cartos with the afs v1 now and they seem to work as well)

If you've ever seen a KR808D-1 battery you can see the 4 holes for draw for the cartomizer. If you have a dremel tool you can get fancy and drill holes in your 901 battery just like the ones in a KR808D-1 battery. I think its easier to use a disc cutting tool and make the slot if you have a dremel tool but you can drill holes, looks a bit more professional.

Here's an illustration of where to drill. If you only have a 1/16 bit, it will work but it will mess up the last thread a bit. I've done it a few times and it has always worked in the end. You should only need one hole at 1/16.

I looking to do this on my Buzz when it arrives. The connector is actually recessed a little so this won't work. I'll have to use the file method. Thanks.

The how to link from the madvapes website has the info for lots of real life working mods.

Do this mod and you will never go back. I only do these and tailpipe off a 510 for dripping.

MadVapes e-Cig 'How To' Tutorials • View topic - Stainless steel 901 Cart mod

I only use the screen mods now in 901 and 801. I did 510 but the volume really isn't there. Two screens works best. 1 is a little leaky unless its drum tight. I let my attys push them in to the correct depth each time I fill and no problem with the attys at all.

Okay guys, here is how it is--I LOVE all these cool mods and production models(some more than others)but dripping and dipping and canoodleing around like a nic-addict just wears me out!! I can go anywhere I want with a couple of 808-d XL's, or even one for that matter, or a simple box mod an a fresh 14500 and a couple rubber capped carts with my fav juice inside and not worry about batts. or going dry for at least 24 hours!!:vapor:all day and night!! don't get me wrong, I LOVE my 510 and 901 at home or wherever I am, but if you are going to be away for a while, kr808-d's is where its at dude!
My wife and I have had kr8's for almost a year now and neither of us has had ANY problems with burnt or melted filler, bad taste, or any other problem....Treat'em like u want a good Lady to treat you,, wet n' warm and ready!!:D;)
