Hey all,

Just finished my first weekend of vaping (well, not quite finished). I love it. I've been puffing on my Riva 510 and really like the device. I find cartomizers easier to use than cartridges, and very quickly discovered how i need to order more.

Anyways, as much as i love the 510, I am surprised by the size. I am looking into ordering a more portable device, something that is easier to throw in the shirt pocket or pocket for lunchtime, on the go, etc. As such, battery life is not as crucial - my goal is to keep it small. I have learned, however, that smaller units are not as powerful.

Would the 808 or 910 be contenders? I am having a real difficult determining size on these units. I'd love something similar to the size of an analog or slightly larger, and then I would use my 510 for at home vaping. I've heard that the 910 produces less vapor, but is more flavorful, which sounds good for me.

Also, how does anyone keep track of all this stuff? I don't mean storage or organization, as there was a very helpful thread on this a couple days ago. I have been switching and trying different juices, and can't remember what is in what cartridge, carto, etc. Maybe I am just a mess...

Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated.

3 days analog free! I know, not too long but I am excited and believing this can help me stop smoking.

Just because you have the Riva, I'd get a 510. You can use the same cartomizers and atty on both. Although not low resisitance and they can't share a battery charger.

Smaller units definitely have smaller batteries- shorter battery life.

I got this little kit for my nephew- 510 with a pcc. I can't tell you how it is because he lost it.

I have a 510 that I use when I got shopping.

I'm only talking about the 510 because you already have a riva. The KR808 is a good pv too. I really don't know anything about a 910. Sorry.

IMHO the best place to pick up analog style e cigs is Smokekess Image. If slightly larger and much better is an option the 808 Elite from CigEasy is the way to go. They are both cartomizer based which is better when you are out and about.

I just read a good review about the cigeasy.

The Elite 808 gave me a reason to sell off my other 808 stuff. I love this unit. I bought 100 cartos for this unit and use it on all my 901/808 devices. I even modified Riva cones to fit these cartos for use on other devices.

In my opinion there isn't much, if any, difference in flavor between 510 and 808 carto's. There is a noticeable difference between 510 and 901 atty's though, and I prefer 901's to 510's. If you're going to be using carto's, which makes sense when out'n 'bout, just pick up a 510 starter kit so there's cross compatibility between them, and the Riva's. The 510 is just slightly larger than an analog. The 510 Mega will give you some extra battery life, but it's a bit longer. As far as how to keep track of what juice is in what carto, just pick up some little stickers at Wally World and write the name of the juice on one and stick it on the carto.

901 is a great atomizer, but since you already have a Riva 510 and want something smaller, I would consider just getting a 510 kit, or a couple 510 batts and a charger. That way you can share atomizers between the 510 batts and the Riva batts. The chargers for the Riva cannot be used with the 510, however check with the vendor, as I believe the 510 charger can be used with the Riva, it will just charge slower. I have a 510 kit just for the occasions when I don't want to carry a big batt or a large MOD. You know, like out to dinner with the wife. Otherwise, I just use a mod or an eGo.

Back to the 901. I have two PVs that I switch between, one has a 901 on it and the other a LR510. I actually like the standard 901 better. More flavor, and usually great vapor, though less throat hit then a 510.

Some folks use orthodontic rubber bands to put on their cartos/attys when not in use. You can color coordinate with regular rubber bands on the juice bottles.

Thats a great idea. I'm guessing, as I go along, it will be easier as I'll have a better idea of juices, experiment a bit less, and have my 'go-to'. It also just seems like I need a ton more cartos.

Wow, again I am shocked at how helpful and responsive people are here.

This may sound stupid, but I the Riva was a 510? Is it kind of an enhanced 510 with larger battery? I really like the Boge cartos - could i use that with a basic 510? I do like the look of that Elite 808 as well.

Yes, the Riva is a 510. That refers to the battery connection. You can use boge cartomizers on your 510 (mini) but you can't use the LR cartomizers on your 510. The Boge 3.0 are the ones that you should use. Good Prophets has boge cartomizers on sale for $5.99. *I have used LR cartos on my 510 because I mixed up a box of SR & LR cartos. Probably didn't do my battery any good but it didn't kill it.

When I first started, I used a muffin tin to keep my juices and cartos together. It wasn't very elegant, but it worked. I don't use a lot of different juices anymore, but I use a dab of nailpolish on the bottle and on the carto.

I had a good experience with Liberty Flights, and need to order more Boge Cartomizers. Would the Joye 510 starter kit from there serve me fine? And could someone please educate me about the 510-T system? Is the tank simply an easier way to fill? Worth the $5? Would it increase the size of the device? Again, this is intended for on the go.

Also, would I be better off just buying the batteries, rather than the full kit? Looks like it would save me some money. My plan, for the time being, is using Boge cartos. I could get some of those, a 510 battery, and combine them and it would be around 11 cm, as I understand it.

I see Good Prophet has the Boge cartos for cheaper - thanks. I could order the Joye 510 from there as well. Has anyone had any experience with that site? I had difficult finding them on the supplier forum.

Thanks as always.

I am not familiar with the regular 510 tank system. Tried it with the ego and wasn't a big fan. Sure, get it from LF, they have great CS. Usually it's cheaper to just get the kit. Even if you don't use the cartridges, you do get an extra battery charger. Add it up and see.

I order from Good Prophets all the time, and have great luck with them. I've ordered batteries, drip tips, a bunch of stuff. Use the code TVCfriend and get 5% off. They always have great sale items. I bought a bunch of boge cartomizers from them.
