Hello everyone I am 32 and I picked up my first e-cig 3 months ago and put down the cigarette the same day. I was a pack and a half smoker for 10 years and I am so greatful to have found the world of vaping. I have been lurking here for a while looking into the ins and outs of vaping and this community has really helped me learn so much. I have a joyetech 510 and its been great but the battery is just not doing it for me any more and while dripping is giving me pleasure ( I found out real quick that the carts that came with it are junk ) I feel like it is time to move up. I placed an order for a Kgo kit and I am waiting on it to arrive. My question is I am not sure what kind of cartomizer I should order. I relize that everyone has their own favorites, I just need a little help picking between the Smok tech dual coil cartomizer and the Ego Vision Clearomizer. And what ohm would be best for my new Kgo 1100 mAh ? After reading up on pvs the ohm I need is still a bit confusing. I just want something that I dont need to fill all the time and does not leak all over the place. I like the feel and taste of my favorite juice I get from dripping but the mess it makes is getting old. :)

Canada Eh!
I was just pondering the same questions last night; when during my online search for information I came across Grimm Green on youtube. This guy knows his stuff. Check him out at GrimmGreenIndustries

I chose to go with a Silver Bullet, with a Cartomator cartomizer tank (boge 2.0 ohm cartomizer) from Vaperfexion=Vape Perfection ...nice set up..and should perform way better than my starter e-cig kit.

have fun!!

If it's a choice between the two, definitely go with the eGo Vision Clearomizer, no question about it. Dual coils don't work that well on a 3.7V battery. You have two standard resistance coils in there and really need more voltage for them to work as well as a 2-2.5ohm carto. Plus, clearomizers taste better.
Best two cartomizers for a kGo are the 1.7ohm single coil Smoketech "Resurrector" and the 2ohm Boge.
Delicate flavors, like fruit, may taste a little burnt with the 1.7ohm though, so use it for tobacco or coffee or darker juice.
If you like dripping, you'll get a cleaner taste with a Fluxomizer. The minimum resistance available is 2.4-2.6ohm, which should be perfect for the lighter flavors and it doesn't mute the flavors like a Vision sometimes can.

Based on what others have said, dual coils aren't the greatest on a KGO.

I have a KGO and use the ego visions and am really happy with them. In terms of resistance, the preference is personal, I think. I prefer the SR (higher number ohms) but my DH prefers the LR. For me flavors taste a bit burnt with the LR. My husband prefers the LRs because of easier draw. So I think it kind of depends on your tastes and how you vape. I'd recommend getting at least one of each and comparing them side by side with your favorite flavor.

I never tried them, but people seem to like the Phoenix bottom coil clearos a lot - they work like a clearomizer in terms of flavor and they don't have all of the wicking issues that sometimes get annoying with the top coils.

Other than that, for a filler carto (such as the Boge) you would go for a 2.0 Ohm; another great option is the 1.7 Ohm single coil XL carto from (aka Resurrector if it's from Crystal Clear Vaping); there are also XL sized Boges.

For the Fluxos and eGo Vision aka Stardust aka CE4+ - a resistance that sounds a little higher, ~2.4 Ohm, is somewhat equivalent to the 2.0 Ohm for filler cartos as far as I can tell; that is maybe because of the hotter vapor given by a top coil. I personally don't like Fluxos because they are difficult to get to work well, and even then they have wicking issues, but that's just me - other people have a great experience with them...

Thank you all for your replies. My favorite flavor is Butterfly Bait for Mom and Pop vapor shop and it is a light fruity vape. I am glad I asked about the ohm now because I did not know it may taste burned if I use to high of one. I think I will go with the clearomizer and order one LR and one SR and see how it goes. Thank you for your input sailorman I am going to go and look into the ones you sugested before I place my order.

The most popular answer will be the Boge 2.0 ohm cartos, but I always found that they burned up on me rather prematurely. I stick with Kanger HC cartos preferably the 2.0 ohm. I use them on a Riva 510, which is very similar in performance to the KGO. I get mine at Good Prophets or HealthCabin.

I just got my vision clearomizer in the mail and filled it up. It is working great! I was worried that the flavor of my favorite juice would change but it is better. Most likely because my atty that I had been dripping into was getting old. I want to thank you all for your replies and I will be placing some more orders for some of the cartos you sugested soon. I also bought a 5 pack of the smoktech 1.7 single coil clear cartos and filled one with a new juice I am giving it a little rest time before I try it. I looked for a way to fill it with out the condom method ( mine did not come with a condom) I did not find one and ended up with juice in my hand. I guess I need to avoid dripping the juice down the center hole lol. I just wanted to say thank you again for the tips you all gave me.

Actually, it's the other way around. It may taste burnt if you use too low of a resistance. Low resistance means a hotter vape. Higher resistance gives a cooler vape. For that juice, something about 2-2.5ohms would be good. The 1.7 or 1.5ohms will be hotter and could taste burnt. Save those for darker, heavier juice like coffee or chocolate or something.
