And I have a Fatty V2 on my Reo Grand! I really wish I had done this a lot sooner... it may just be the best vape I have ever had

I had cut a channel in the insulator a while back when I had it mounted on a GVM Groove to get the Fatty to bottom feed, but I was really disappointed to find that the atty was just too wide to fit in the catch cup of the Reo. So I ground down the base of the deck a little because it's just a hair wider than the top cap. Then I took a dremel to the catch cup to widen it out so that the atty would screw down into it and make a connection.

I still need to clean it up just a bit but it works great so far. I didn't want to mill the top like the LP grands because I have no way of replicating the red anodized finish

Thanks! I was hoping that if I did it this way as opposed to milling the entire top down, if I screwed up somewhere at least the machining marks wouldn't show. As it sits now you can't even tell the cup has been opened up a little which is nice. Just out of curious it's, has anyone done this before? I did a bit of research prior to hitting it with the dremel but only found the LP style modification

That's some great work! :)

I didn't want to mill my grand's down wither because I didn't know how to patch the paint job. I was just going to replace all my mods with the LP version of the grand because all my favorite atty's are too big for the stock version.

I sent a mini and a grand to Rob to mill into LP's and wondered about having to paint the milled top too. As you can see from the picture (or not)
you can't see one mark from the milling process. It is almost as if the milled area was polished afterwards. It looks so good there is no need to paint.

Leave it to Rob to think of everything and the outcome as usual is SUPERB.

That does look incredible wow... I wasn't sure how the Grand would look with a raw aluminum spot but that is top notch work. I may have to try that someday if I ever find a cheap Reo

I kept looking at the LP metal Reo's; wanting them so I could get/modify some other atty's. I thought about milling a couple of mine myself; then thought why not let the master do them. Best decision I could have made. As I stated before coast to coast in 6 days!
