Where to begin this story?

Well - I quit smoking cigarettes about 2 and a half years ago. I was about a 2 pack a day smoker and when I decided to get back into regular MMA training/weight lifting I knew it was time I had to get my ... back in check (try a 10 minute fight in a ring after a pack of smokes and you'll know what I mean). So? I quit - cold turkey - and lasted about 3-4 months before the cravings *really* came back. I sat in a convenience store for a few minutes staring at packs of smokes until I noticed these weird "disposable Logic e-cigarettes" sitting on the wall. Figured, what the hell and bought a few of the menthol high strength ones the store offered.

And that was it, immediately hooked.

My girlfriend and I roamed the streets of Manhattan every night trying new brands, different strengths, etc. -- I finally realized I was spending far too much money on these things and figured I'd do a quick google search for "Non-Disposable E-Cigs" to try and save some money while still vaping. The first one I bought was from V2 and it lasted me about... 4-5 weeks until I grew tired of buying replacement parts from them, replacing batteries that broke, etc. So I moved on up.

The next step was diving into the Ego Line, starting with the Ego-C. I was really impress with the 650 mAh standard kit but not too into the delivery system. I had remembered enjoying the Carto system from the V2 sigs and was having frequent problems with the Ego tank systems so I picked up some Viva's and fell in love. I was buying new Ego batteries back and forth, different sizes, colors, passthroughs, etc. I finally found the VV Ego Mega Passthrough and joined the world of variable voltage.

Fast forward a few years until this morning when my new Provari came in (I stared at the tracking number for the last three days - holy hell they ship fast)! I was sick of having to deal with different batteries for different things, ordering new parts that I didn't need, etc. etc so I shelled out for the Provari as the "Lets end this game" (knowing fully well that the game isn't over). I've got it currently set up with some Protanks (which I've fallen in love with) and I must say I'm quite happy with everything right now! I'm waiting on some IBtanked XL's to come in so I can get back on my carto game, but in the meantime these protanks are incredible.

So - I guess that's my 'welcome to the forums' post - glad to join!

A bit about me for the records! 26 year olds, Philosophy professor in NY (I constantly puff my e-cig in front of my students - they find it hysterical) and living the good life!

So yeah - Hey guys - pleasure to join the crew

-Alex

Welcome young prof. Alex :)

The best professors are the young ones :glare:

I teach mainly Ethics, Political Philosophy, and Phenomenology - and Thank for the welcomes!

On a side note - I'm quite interested in picking up a carto tank that has a fill hole within it - it seems the Prive is sold out everywhere - what are my alternatives?

p.s. If anyone wants free fight training (Aikido, Wing Chun, Savate, Krav) -- lemme know.

Cheers guys, thanks for the warm welcomes. Last night at a small get together the e-cig made quite the good impression on some colleagues and students, we might have some new members coming this way!

So my IBtanked tanks came in today - setting one up with a Boge and the other a Smoktek and seeing how she vapes with both so far, I'm mightily impressed.
