A Cartomizers taste

I received my first cartos on Friday have been using the carts that came with my eGo starter kit... I was excited to get my cartos from all that I have read about them on this forum. However, they taste horrible I nearly vomitted when I took my first draw. I remembered reading about how the primer that is being used in them now is nasty. So I tried to clear that out by blowing it out. However, when I got done blowing it out to where I could faintly taste it still I had no juice left in it (they were prefilled). Am I doing something wrong? I know vast majority of Vet Vapors prefer cartos. I must say, I know the reason why they seemed so much easier to use than carts and wish to attempt to give them another try. Please help.

If you bought pre-filled cartomizers it's unlikely to be primer you are tasting. There is no need for primer in most types of cartomizer, even less so in pre-filled ones. Most likely explanation is that you did not like the juice that the carto was filled with. I do think you are better off buying empty ones and filling them yourself.

generally prefilled cartos are pretty nasty...have an almost chemical or perfume taste to them....
blanks filled with your own juice are generally much better...

either way when I get new blanks I open them and take off the rubber caps and let them sit for a while...
they're so quickly made and capped that they don't really get a chance to degas from the manufacturing process so opening them and letting them sit for a bit gives them a chance to do that...
and well some juices also just taste different or don't work well in a carto...(I have a tiramisu like that....absolutely terrificly yummy on a 510 or 306 but in a carto it tastes like vomit)

I agree with Papa and Drozd - use blanks and also, I find that the mega eGo cartos filler doesn't give off the off taste you can get with some cartos. And also, the mega eGo atty and cartridges hold just as much (2.5ml) as the mega eGo carto and are easier to fill. The 'cone/atty' and carts are also good (1.5ml).
