I've been using a 510 with Clearos and my Vamo with a carto tank. I really prefer the Vamo and have only been using the 510 while the vamo batts are charging. But I'm considering a device that may fill the gap between the two. I'd love a slightly more compact device then the Vamo for when I'm not at home.

Here's what I'd like. A 510 sized device that has the performance and battery life of a Vamo. OK. Impossible.

So do I look at either EGO twists or Vision Spinners? Or will they not give me anything the Vamo cannot. In which case, I should just save up and spend my money on a Provari or similar mod? And give up on looking for the impossible?

If you like the vape of the 510 batts any ego 650 mah and up will suffice. The twist/spinner is comparable to the vamo in a small window of ohms the twist hits a little bit better from 3.7v to 4.4v 2.4-3 ohms atty' it does not use a pulse width mod but apples/oranges. I personally use 650 mah ego's with 2.4-3 ohm attys and get 5-7 hours out of them. I have an ego 1100mah twist I get 11-14 hours out of it but its as big as a vamo---I have a high power mod but I like my ego's as much for a variety. Vaping is just that if you were an analog smoker -- it offers so much variety at very low costs, you can never get bored -- it is great!--- all of this vaping gear they each have benefits.. I also use a cigalike I got free from greensmokes its vapes very nice and I get 4-7 hours out of it if not chain vaping..

Not impossible:
Since you have a Vamo an ego version would be the bees knees because they are compact a 650 mah is very little and you can measure the ohms of an atty that you like and repeat it again and again on your ego.. Ego's are not shabby at all they hit like a mack truck if you put the right atty on them.. If you want huge obnoxious clouds buy a mechanical or learn how to build micro coils..

20 bucks and you have 4 650 mah batteries and charger..
$16.51 650mAh Rechargeable Battery for Ego E-Cigarette (4-Pack) 4-pack - black + silver + blue + red at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$2.38 USB Charger for EGO Electronic Cigarette - cable length 25cm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Grab that provari when able too.. Grab a svd and that kmax is gorgeous mod then whoa mechs wow it keeps the voices away -- smokeeeeeeeeeeeee. lol

I use the eroll for that purpose... kit comes with two 3.7volt, regulated, 90mah batts and PCC about 1100mah. Batt goes for 30min chaining and takes 20-25min to charge so I'm never without a charged one. It hits harder than my ego in regulated mode which is 3.3volts. The ego in unregulated mode starts at 4.2 volts but that's only momentarily and it quickly drops to 3.7volts then more slowly decreases down to 3.2volts while the eroll stays at 3.7 until the last ready-to-charge draw. BTW, I have both the Vamo and multiple Egos that have served me well during my first 6 months vaping. I mostly only use the Eroll now and wouldn't be without it out of the house.

So are you suggesting just going with the regular Ego and using different cartos to give me the vape I like? That price is amazing (I may just order them and still ponder this question), but the thing that draws me to the twist is the VV. Then again, the Vamo only works well in RMS mode. Will the regulation in the twist or spinner be limiting?

It depends on the ohms of the atty attached. If you know what you like on the vamo it will also work the same on the twist or spinner, the twist and spinner both are advanced pv's. They are only limited by putting the worng atty on with lower gauge wire. Even though it may say 1.8-2.4ohms there a few ways to get to those ohms. With off the shelf attys you will be fine.. . Use attys with 33 gauge and higher for best results and I guarantee you will never have a limitation even on regular ego's.. Att's like a CE4 or vivi nova, boges or 510-t, etc etc.. They are made with proper gauge wire for smaller battery pv's.. Use the vamo for advanced attys...

Ha I always had visions of people ducking for cover when I thought about taking the Vamo in public
Kind of looks like a pipe bomb:ohmy:

My 510 threads are striping and I cant use my RDA's on it
so I ordered the provari
this way I have some one to call if there is an issue
and Im not uncomfortable taking out of the house

Ive used the cwist up until this point for out and about
couple problems
1 it does not take a charge if its not run down so I end up with dead battery at the wrong time
2 it does not hit like a mod

the provari is showing out for delivery from my local PO :vapor:'

I may be eating ramin noodles for a month but its worth it:2cool:

I am so jealous of your Provari LOL

I am getting one after Christmas,,,,,,,,,,i wish I could swing it before, but with the holidays coming up, my husband being off work for surgery in November, and myself needing several crowns (I'm making my dentist rich, I swear),,,,,,,,

after the holidays it is,,,,,,,,

something to look forward to at least :D

I hear ya honestly it was not in the budget till dec
but when my 510 threads were going I found out to fix the problem would cost almost as much as a new one
so I figured did not make sense to spend $40 or $50
on another mod that might have a problem and no one responsible to fix it

so like I said ramin noodles for a month

At the risk of annoying The Ocelot, who does not like babying devices, let me say this with regards to the Vamo or any other device with 510 threads.

As you begin to attach your atomizer, make sure you are not cross threading by starting with a completely well lined up position and begin screwing it down. As you do, pull ever so gently away, as if you are attempting to unscrew it, even while turning clockwise. This insures that the screw, which is one of our most basic machines, does what it is supposed to do. When removing it, do exactly the opposite.

And never rack it down all of the way. Make the connection and stop.

An itaste MVP 2 is not very big at all, VV/VW/Ohmmeter and a 2600 mAh battery. It'll also charge other devices for you. Now, if it only did laundry...

I was looking at the MVP and it looks very interesting. Of course the VTR looks like a piece of art. But they are more mod like and I'd probably go Provari before one of them. Thanks for the suggestion though.
