Hi all. I've had an e-cig for a couple of years now, but I'm new to the forum. Nice place you have here. ;) I haven't had an analog for one week now. Not exactly a moon-shot accomplishment, but journeys of 1,000 miles and all. A week is good for me, and I'm pretty proud.

Anyway, I have a V2. That brand seems to have a bad reputation around here, but I don't know any other brand, and I'm pleased with it. There's so much information here that I'm inundated. I was hoping to just get some info on two things. Or maybe three.

1. I want to buy a portable charging case, but I don't really like V2's design, and I was hoping to pay less than 40 bucks. Can anyone recommend another case that would be compatible with V2 batteries, hold more cartridges, and cost less?
2. I need to find a cheap seller of good juice. Menthol only, no need for cotton candy or any of that stuff.
2.5. Some of my carts are pretty old, and they've been sitting capped in their boxes for... maybe a year? Odds that they're still good? Even if they're not good to vape, would they be good enough to put fresh juice in?

Thank you so much for any help you can offer.

Congrats on your quit. V2s are KR808-Ds.

1) Search on 808-D Charging case or "PCC"... you can find different designs, some for less than $20.
2) Try Halo Menthol or Truepure. Nice smooth base with lots of vapor and no weird aftertastes.
3) As long as they weren't exposed to the sun a lot (and even then maybe ok), should be fine after 1 year.

Good luck!

Welcome. Not familar with that particular brand, but most of the 808 stuff I have came from Vapor4Life aka V4L. I don't use the 808 too much, but have other vaporers around me who do. Now, their regular prices are a bit high, but if you get on the mailing list you will see there are very good sales constantly. I don't do menthol myself, but most of their juice that I've tried quite good and they are very good to deal with.

Hello:D I'm new as well and I'd like to mention, if you are pleased with your v2 then keep digging the v2! I have a friend who loves hers and it's perfect for her. I use the volt by smokeless image, really close to your v2. I just ordered a 30ml bottle of their 555 juice for around 13 bucks, not bad cause it doesn't take much to fill cartomizers of our size.

The carrying case for the volt is awesome. I went partying and I went a whole night switching everything around and straight up constantly vaped. the case is only like twenty something. The shipping is fast and customer service awesome. I don't work for them at all, I'm just blown away with how much I like them:)

Congrats to you, I hope you find your ideal.

Thank you all for the replies. The Volt case is sort of what I'm looking for, but I'd like something that can hold two batteries and four/five cartridges. It doesn't need to be able to charge both batteries, just charge one and hold another. Col. Kurtz, I did a google search for what you recommended, and not much popped up. Is there maybe a place that would tell me which manufacturers use the 808d battery, and I could just look at their websites? I do love the smell of napalm in the morning. ;) Thanks again.

Vapor4life has a pcc (kr808) on sale for $15.99.. Just call them first to be sure your v-2 will fit. I started with v2 then found v4l called and was told thier batterys would work with my v2 charger so I am thinking they should work with the pcc..
Now I love the manual standard batteries I purchases a week ago from myvaporstore (on sale $9.75). We shall see how well they hold up.

As an update, the mint/menthol juice from Blue Mist is great. I like it better than straight menthol now. I ordered a PCC from smokepower.com. It seems to be the same PCC that comes with the Premium e-cig kits. It was about 25 bucks with free shipping, and it came with an extra battery and three carts. Since I haven't seen much about that website here, I'll just say that they shipped it within a day, or two max. It took a while to get here because their free shipping is by regular first class mail, but from order to door was less than a week. And nearly three weeks without an analog.

Just in my personal experiences, the Small ecigs dont throw out enough vapor. So many people talk about nic levels and flavor but you know, for me it was a matter of seeing vapor coming out of my mouth. I found V2's all pg liquid was not satisfying. If you blew out without exhaling sure you saw vapor but when I inhaled V2 cigs the air fealt light. there was throat hit but the vapor release was disturbing. I found myself toking like crazy because in my head no vapor release meant nothing going in.

I know its psychological BUT addiction to cigs is not just physical and physiological it is psychological as well. As I went from 7-11 Njoys to a v2 to an elipse ovale then to a lavatube and inferno, I realized that my perfect vape to give me the assurance that I needed wasnt going to be found in The cigarette look alikes. I also moved myself from v2 e-liquid to pg/vg mixes or in some cases straight VG.

I am not the vaper looking to throw 6 volts at a 1.5 ohm carto to get a burnt plume of nasty into the air to claim some sort of kingly stature with my egeek friends, I just know that I need vapor in AND out. I know how does this relate newq?

When I chose my ecig for the last time I knew I wanted several things out of it:
- I wanted a system that had interchangable batteries so I was never down and out.
- I wanted higher voltage and amperage. I wanted to run tank cartos for ease of use (I dont like the fuss of dripping) I wanted the system to be variable. When I wanted a great vapor hit, I wanted to be able to turn the pv or mod or w/e you want to call it to be able to satisfy that want.
- I wanted something that would last all day at work. ( I Dont mind multiple batteries, as a method to get there but i dont want to be tempted with a analog because my pv is drained.
- I wanted a convenient way to swap flavors without the need for several bottle and cartos and keeping them matched at all times (thus the tank cartos. I swap the tank filled with whatever I want I carry 3 with me to switch whenever it tickles my fancy)

Those little bugger are small and convenient but honestly they just didn't "get it" for me. I threw away hundreds of dollars on prefilled cartridges and crappy tiny ecig batteries and chargers before realizing that larger batts meant higher amps. Higher amps meant longer vape times and a more customizable experience.

Rock on man! Glad it is working for you. You know it is realy nice to see the support network that you can find here with people sharing the same burden as you. It seems kinda shameful to me to admit that i cant quit on my own but seriously. E-cigs are the only thing that has ever worked for me. I wont be supporting phillip morris ever again.

As many others have stated doesnt matter the mod so long as it keeps you off the analogs.
