im about to receive a diy starter kit in the mail pretty soon, and figured id best learn a few things about the components first. i went with unflavored nic bases instead of buying pg, vg, and nic separately to simplify my transition into diy

unflavored pg and cg nic bases- any special way to store these?

bottles- difference between amber and blue? ordered both just in case. also, do the needle tipped ones require a syringe to fill? i didnt get any

flavor concentrates- need special storage? do they have any sort of shelf life that would deter me from ordering large amounts?

menthol crystals- how do i store these? i believe they have a very low melting point so i believe that could be an issue

malic acid- storage? how potent is this stuff? is it effective in creating a sour taste

that is all i ordered, so i dont want to hear about what i should/should not have ordered unless i am missing something that will make it downright impossible to do without. i avoided syringes for a personal reason and will continue to avoid them as long as i can.

Here & There
Just check your calculations with one of the calculators since you are using nic containing base only you won't want to make any mistakes. Alot of people make their mixes in the pg vg base first, perfect it, then add nic solution. Sounds like you don't have that option. Also start low since you cannot detract but only add flavor. Bottles are fine and room temperature is fine on the flavors etc.

Eventually you will want to get a syringe or a graduated cylinder since drops aren't very precise means of measuring and droppers are all different.

i still cannot find any true reason to add the nic after yet (im sure i will) so im ok with that for now. and my halo droppers have graduated measurements on them so that should work for now
