Genius that I am I originally posted these questions under the 'gift certificate' thread. Not sure what I was thinking, but I'm reposting it here. Sorry for the duplication.

This is probably a dumb question, but I've never had a 510 pass through and I know zilch about electronics.

Since these have a battery box, does that make the part that looks like the 510 battery really just something the atomizer screws onto? If that's right, then is the manual button the only thing that would wear out that couldn't be replaced?

You've got them on sale for a great price, and I'd like to order one, but I've been waiting for you to get the adaptors in that lets a 510 battery be used with a cartomizer before I placed an order. If I ordered a PT now, could you hold it until those come in and ship them together?

One more thing - I haven't had great luck refilling cartomizers so far. I've tried refilling both ways - by removing the white end on the mouthpiece and refilling and also by dripping through the battery end, but they really don't seem to last very long the second time around. Does the syringe for cartos help more than a regular syringe would?

Thanks!

jma,

The 510 PT for 10 bucks is the same quality that I had selling for 15, 18, etc
The same also as some sell for up to $30
The battery has a separate box, so if it goes, yes you can replace the batt.
The pic shows this box.
The button could go, but I have spares also.
THe electronic button could go also, and then the PT would be done.
THis may or may not happen, but it will not last forever.

I will have the adapters in early next week, delays from the holiday.
I can hold your order if you want.

For the refill, you can use the taryn method or the thermometer method, of shaken it like a therm for a few seconds, both work well.
THe refill tool helps to inject the liquid from the bottomm up.

Your experience is what works best. Try all methods and find one that fits you.

I just didn't know that some PTs had replaceable batteries. Very cool.

I just placed an order with a note about holding it until the adaptors are in.

Thanks! :D

jma,

Yes the battery is inline. This allows you to take the PT along with you for short
outings or for going to get the mail, lol.

Then when you plug it back into the USB, it will charge that battery for future use.

ALSO: This PT can work with an ordinary usb to wall adapter, ones that have 500mah output.
Other PT's need the 1000mah wall adapter.
