Can I use magnet wire for the positive and negative inside the tank? I'm making a tank from a broken cryptonite 8 and wanted to run the positive and negative wires through the middle in a double helix shape. I know magnet wire has an enamel coating or something but not sure if it is safe inside a tank.
I also wanted to know about ss mesh wicks. The center hole can only be opened up so far because I'm using the 2 refill holes to run sewing needles for the positive and negative and don't want to cut into them. The ss wick will fit snugly in the center hole, will the silicone plug touching the sides of the wick affect wicking?
