I'm fairly new to vaping (about 3 weeks) but I think I've found a little trick that might help a lot of us stuggling to find a regular vape. I had piled up quite a few cartridge samples but just could not vape them because they burned the hell ot of my throat. I even posted a thread asking for help. If this is a throat hit, I can do without it. I think there must be others who are also frustrated by this.
What I believe is that this is a condition of the cartridge and not the flavor. This week I recieved a box of VG Coffee that tasted susiciously like Cowboy. I was just about to email a complaint when it turned to coffee flavor. At that point I thought about all the cartridges I have collected that I set aside because of the harshness. What I have found is that the cartridges can be "prepped" by puffing backwards through your USB passthrough (yes, the wire makes it a little awkward but it can be done easily enough). This does not seem to work with the batteries because the air does not pass through it. I am sure it's wasting some of my vape but I can now enjoy all the carts I have piled up and the flavors really are amazing. If you still feel the throat burn, simply repeat until you don't. This may be due to the lower boiling point for alcohol. Not sure but it has made a huge difference to my vaing experience and I hope it hels others who may be struggling with this experience and thinking it is the flavor.
This should also be a good way to change flavors in a cart and purge the old flavor before tasting the new.
