Try adding a drop or two of Rose flavouring to that (anything that smells like Turkish Delight, rather than perfume)- works a treat at rounding off the harshness of the TA. In UK I use Foster Clark's Rose Flavouring (PG based) which is only a few pence/cents a bottle. As long as you avoid the perfumey flavours it works well.
