Okay, so I've been at this only since this past Sunday about noon. So... three days now.

But I was a two pack a day smoker for years. Yesterday, I had three cigs total. Today, two.

What's funny is Sunday, I was down to a pack so I went to the Walgreens to buy a new carton. On impulse, I bought a Blu disposable. Heh, did what apparently a lot of newbies do and tried inhaling it like a regular cig and tried to coughed up a lung. But fiddled and twiddled and messed around with it a while anyway and found I was starting to like the taste.

Then forgot to light up a regular cig for the next nine hours.

I mean, I went and dug up the receipt because I thought no way did I just forget to smoke. As my mom has put it, I "smoke like a chimney".

Stunned me so much, I bought a Blu starter kit the next day. Yeah, I wish I'd run into this forum before I did that. I am seeing the flaws folks talk about around here (especially those blasted batteries). Still, it's working. I went from a two pack a day habit to having had three total cigs a day the last two days. I'm stunned. I've tried everything there is to get away from cigs and every time it was a nightmarish misery and nobody could put up with me (myself included) and I always went back.

Anyway, had a few folks around here suggest returning the Blu kit. I did the opposite. I took the carton of regular cigs back and exchanged it for cartridges.

Told the cashier, "Apparently, I'm quitting smoking." :)

I tell ya, nobody's more surprised than I am...

Whatever and however works for you is just perfect.

There's a lot of Blu hate around here. Some of it's justified, but only some. Over time you'll probably find the battery life too short to satisfy you. Cartos are expensive compared to refillables from other places.

My first foray into the vaping world was a Blu disposable, after already reading about them here. I knew what to expect and that's what I got, but it worked as proof of concept. For that reason, I'll always have a soft, warm, happy spot in my heart for Blu.

Lol - I love the stories from people who sorta trip over vaping and accidentally quit smoking. Congrats on your start!

I'm still kind of... stunned. I mean the idea of accidentally quitting? Over the years, I've tried everything. Cold turkey, gum, patches, you name it. Every attempt was a nightmarish misery and I was impossible to live with. And I never got far. One did last almost a year then I did the stupid, "oh one couldn't hurt". Yeah, uh huh, sure.

I wasn't even trying this time. I tried the disposable just for the heck of it. Like it was just a neat toy or something. And I still have this kind of sneaking worry that it's somebody's idea of a prank and they're gonna jump out any moment and laugh about it or something. :)

Yah, I get the feeling I'll be saying something like that in time. Blu is nice idea but seems they spent more time on their "cool" factor than that part about "working right". Still, it's working... okay. Flaky yeah. I think the USB charger lies sometimes. And one of the two batteries, I'm about ready to take it out and beat it with an axe. :)

Weirdly enough, Blu being flaky is kind of a good sign. If I'm doing this well on the overpriced junk, that's a promising sign in itself...

I'm still kind of... stunned.

It's been a month for me and that still describes exactly how both my wife and I feel. We WERE trying to quit smoking, but having failed as many times as we had, we weren't holding out much hope that ecigs would be any different. The day we both became INSTANT ex-smokers was one of the most amazing experiences either of us had ever had. And we still talk about how amazing it is.
