Those aren’t just exotics, they’re about as metal heavy as it is physically possible to get. I think it’s possible the reason you’re having trouble is the heat up/coil down time on a coil set like that is enormous. Because of this I can see a possible issue developing where the wick doesn’t completely heat through the draw, and/or doesn’t completely cool between draws. This could be keeeping you from getting a consistent wire temperature.

Hard to test of course. It’s a thought anyway.

Well my mod for my rdta I’m using a gx 2/4 so 4 I think of 3000mahs up to like 350 watts maybe? Way higher than what I need. Right now I’m on about 100
Your mod has a hard preheat in settings. Try using it.

The mahs just tells us about how long a charge will last. Do you know what brand and model those cells are? we're hoping for Sony, Samsung or LG. Anything else and the batteries may not be up to delivering the wattage needed by that build.

Heroically assuming they are, if the vapor is getting too warm before you think it tastes right, then you've got way too big/complex of a build and you need to think about something simpler.

Framed staples are cloud chasing coils. Flavor is not where they shine. I'm a flavor lover too, but I also like thick vapor. My most "exotic" build is a pair of 26ga SS316L coils on a 1/8" bamboo skewer. The total resistance is 0.45 Ohms and 45 Watts blows me away.

*runs off to convert English to metric*...so that’s like around a 3.2mm coil.. unless you’re leaving the bamboo skewer in..

Indeed man. Just getting my new place sorted. While I’m waiting I’m at home with the folks so I haven’t even seen the newest series!!!

I’m glad you didn’t put a spoiler in there.

Btw, you know Arthur vapes?

Welcome to ECF. I'd agree on putting a little less metal in your builds. You want to leave room for some juice. But yes, I'd say the sheer mass of your builds may be causing many of your problems, including flavor. I think you might do better with some smaller, less exotic builds. I use simple round coils in my RTAs, and while I am MTL, I do find that works for me, flavor wise. Try to use something less complex and see how you like it.

Exotic doesn't always mean better for many vaping applications.

Best of luck,

Anna
